As a veteran of the army, they failed this baby and this family. There is no way, they didn't know she was missing. There's a formation daily, how is it they didn't do a wellness check nor contact the family. There is major cover up. This saddens me, she could have been my soldier. Hurts my hurt.

This sisters and their mom went far and beyond to fight for Vanessa. As a Mexican American I see first hand how our community is always so disregarded and how crimes go unpunished. Thank you for being so loud and fighting so hard !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rest in Peace Vanessa

I remember this story as it was unfolding and it is truly deplorable. And I’ve watched the documentary as well. I pray they finally get justice for Vanessa and that they get this act passed. Keep fighting Mayra and Lupe.

So happy I got the heck out of the army. There's so much sexual harassment and sexual assault. I experienced it and so did a lot of my female battle buddies. Army doesn't care. At least when I was in. I told my sergeants and they just told the guy to cut it out. No report. Nothing. They cover up A LOT! I would never want my daughters to join. There's almost no accountability so the army can uphold their image. I have so much anxiety and depression from my time in the army. It wasn't worth it. A lot of my battle buddies on medication as well for mental health.

Yes nearly everyone who's in the Army/military all have serious mental problems and or are drug addicts.

First and foremost I’d like to say that I am very proud of you girls for continuing and fighting for justice and change on behalf of your sister. 💖. As a veteran, when I first heard this story I didn’t pay much attention to it bc I’ve seen how girls act in the military. I didn’t fully believe she was a victim. And now I regret that. I’ve seen so much immaturity in the army that I left thinking it was just high school adults with weapons. Which doesn’t speak well about it. But it’s the truth. However, after seeing the documentary and reading more about it, I do believe Vanessa was a victim. I do believe she was intimidated by her superiors and that’s the reason she didn’t report any of it. I feel for her also bc I’ve been there. I was 23 when I left the Military for the same reason, had I just slept around with my chain of command I would have made it longer. I hate to say this, but I was the only female who did not sleep w our chain of command. And it’s a really sad and painful situation when you’re a young woman and feeling alone bc there’s no one to go to. Everyone tries to cover up for everyone. Now as a 37 year old woman, I can’t believe things haven’t changed. And that it’s come to this. May God continue to guide you and help you on this journey. I hope you know you’re not just helping your sister but also those, like myself, who didn’t have anyone to go to. I hope your family has peace and God Bless. 💖

@kmurray559 that's what they say, but we don't know that to be true, I believed he was hired by the real murders to dispose of Vanessa, when he was done, I believed he was killed to cover up the truth, a truth that only he knew and not Aguilar, I think Aguilar was just bait

They are still talking about this?? I am tired of society supporting having empathy and uplifting these women of this generation the Shanquella Robinson and Vanessa Gullien's. Vanessa Guillen had pretty privilege and latina privilege and she was in the military and she receives all this support empathy and protection in death that I don't receive in life. It causes me to have a lot of jealousy and hatred because of whom the American public along with the media chooses to support and help

That's sad and now theres another Latina military women that supposedly killed herself. Even if she did what made her do it? Something going on in the military base could of made her do it. It's scary that it happened at the same base. R.I.P Vanessa. You will never be forgotten even though I didnt know u at all.
