MAN Brenda looks absolutely stunning here. I saw some of the clip when they first announced her name to host, but that was all I saw. Thanks for posting a longer clip that shows most if not all of what she did/said that night. And I'm sure she wanted to say GENERAL HOSPITAL so bad during the last nomination:-( oh well.

And I LOVE how Brenda jumps up as soon as she gets to the microphone at the beginning.. she waves to her friends (the cast of GH)... I thought that was cute. I also thought it was cute that she said "there will be no reading a monologue someone tried to make up for me, there will be no singing, and no dancing"..lol!. I understand.. she didn't want to embarrass herself..LOL! I wouldnt want to do it either if I knew I wasn't good at it.

I always lose it when Vanessa starts choking up. Luved Lila Q and still miss her 2 this day. Vanessa looked Fab BTW.

@neetrab - i still love brenda! yes she is not as feisty anymore but she has been thru hell that most people would not be able to survive. she is strong and loving. luza has put her thru more heartache and angst than any other character ever on the show...

oh I still love brenda too, and last night, I found myself defending this woman to a good amount of Carly fans on the Simplygh's channel. (She posts everydays episodes on her channel after maybe a couple of hours after the show comes on tv). It was crazy. I hate that most if not all of the viewers want her to leave PC. I really wish they didn't bring her back if I knew they were going to treat wreck her S&B/Brenda story SO bad.

They weren't even around during her 90 yrs, so I don't think they should even say anything.

@LeytonBrax - haha!! Oh, okay..LOL! I figured you had your VCR set (in the 90's) for EVERYTHING Vanessa. I didn't know how you did it. I wish I had those dvd's, but I don't. And I don't think it's good that I have all those dvd's anyway... or else I'd get nothing done.

@LeytonBrax - yea I've never seen this emmy's episode. So when someone posted it on youtube, i was so happy. I think it's a SHAME to NO END that GH has sucked so bad and let Carly be the one with the keys to the kingdom on that show. I know the show had to move on because Vanessa wanted to do other projects, but I think they should have looked FURTHER into the future KNOWING that Vanessa/Brenda was going to be back on the show. How they made her now is a complete nightmare for me.

@LeytonBrax - question, how do you have ALL of Vanessa's appearances on tape??????? You must have known when she was going to be on tv. It's hard to know EVERY SINGLE APPEARANCE she does. I have seen you put up interviews, these emmy clips, and of course the soap clips of where she appears... how did you do it?:-)

*snore*....did she even HOST this thing? All she did was introduce the presenters. While I'm not a Vanessa fan, I just have to ask...what qualifications did she have to host? They usually give that gig to someone with a history in comedy. Prior to this, VM wasn't known for comedy or any hosting prowess....and it showed Also, at 2:33 she's utterly unprofessional by insulting the awards show's writer(s)

As the opening narration from Aaron May pointed out: a) she had just completed the first season of the drama series _Las Vegas,_ which was on NBC, who had the rights to the telecast that year) b) she had left _General Hospital_ the previous season. The year before, ABC had the rights, and Wayne Brady of _Whose Line?..._ and the host of an eponymous daytime talk show, as well as an eponymous comedy series of the same title a few years earlier, hosted the show. Marcil took an unneeded potshot at Brady's hosting prowess during the opening (no monologue, no singing, no dancing.)
