One thing I forgot to mention is Glitchtrap's (supposed) line in SB's gameplay trailer: "You will do as I say. You will bring me what I want. And if you fail me, you will - *both* of you - burn!" This line makes a lot of sense in the context of this theory, referring to Vanessa and her twin. They'd both be people he'd have authority over and be able to punish. mazerzise

I was always a supporter of the two Vanny theory, partially because I can't accept that 'Vanny, sounds like a lot like Vanessa... and bunny' is a serious line, and not a joke poking fun at such a predictable plot "twist". I think one of the oddest part of the fire escape ending, one that I don't think I ever really see pointed out, is that Gregory is surprised by the face under Vanny's mask. But if Gregory is == 46 == GGY, then he should know perfectly well who Vanny is. Possible explanations: A. Bad writing. B. The inconsistency is caused by potential story rewrites C. This was a meta clue and wasn't meant to be taken as a character's genuine reaction, but that feels like a cop out. D. Vanny isn't supposed to look like Vanessa, and that's why Gregory was surprised. E. Gregory lost his GGY memories. He does kinda acts like a clueless child in SB at some parts, but he also gaslights Freddy, so he showcases a penchant for manipulation, which matches up with 46. And him having an amnesia destroys his motivation for freeing Vanny or just being in the pizzaplex in general, which he seems to be doing quite deliberately. Also, Vanny doesn't seem to loose her memories, based on how she seems to be grateful to Gregory for freeing her. And her HW2 apparence.

I think this makes much more sense than the ghost theory. Not to mention there are two hideouts with beds. One above Fazer blast with the princess quest arcade, where there's a bed, and in Ruin, there's a second one with a Vanny face graffiti and a bed and tally marks on the walls. Two Vanny's, two hideouts. One above being a security guard, one below trying to put together, help, or do whatever she was doing with burntrap. Also, what if one sister goes by Ness or Nessy, the other one goes by Vanny because their parents were really lazy and named them both Vanessa?

About whole “bunny ears” at 15:58 (maybe a bit earlier), with Help Wanted 2 out rn..could it be that Gregory was meeting with Cassy’s dad? Mask bot in Ruin (that is her dad) literally has bunny ears and is associated with Bonny. And being that he was obsessed with PQ games that are connected to Vanny/Glitchyrap maybe he was the one feeding info to Gregory and then Gregory manipulated him to go down into the location? Because, we have to remember that “bad” ending is literally the cannon one since we see bot giving mask to Cassy in Ruin

There is too much conflicting evidence to definitively say what Vanessa and Vanny are. If you throw in HW2, it gets even more confusing. Personally, I think Patient 46 is either Vanny or Luis, and definitely NOT Gregory. Gregory is just some orphan that was squatting at the Pizza Plex and became a wrench in Burntrap's plan, just like how Cassie stumbles in and deals with the mimic. Vanessa's therapy sessions and the whole "Vanny sounds like Vanessa plus bunny" thing is all a bunch of red herrings. The twist shown in the rooftop fire ending is proof enough for me that it's two separate women. That's not a ghost on the rooftop, it's Vanessa looking down in horror at her dead accomplice and having the realization that Burntrap/Glitchtrap won't release her mind.

its criminal how low the comments and likes are ! for some reason, i was always under the impression that the vanessa we see in the ending where we burn everything down, is that one of the Vanessas was a robot. i dont know why i thought that, as we dont know what the Vanni mask does when its put on an animatronic, but we do know putting it on seems to make people disappear from the sensors of the animatronics around them. i think i thought that because there was an ending where Gregory tells the staff bots to "decommission Vanny" and i guess that threw me off.

Love the video! However when Vanessa tempts Gregory back to the main stage ( 11:34 ) isn't there a retro CD recording of her therapy waiting there? I could be remembering wrong, I haven't played the game admittedly.

To me, the scene makes perfect sense when taking Dittophobia and Fourth Closet into account. Her body was discovered, so her spirit is made aware of her death. In the games, we have only seen spirits in the minigames where they are represented as crying ghosts. We have never seen what a spirit actually looks like in-universe. However, both in the movie and the books, spirits appear as if living, to the point that Dittophobia tells us about a lost spirit who was completely unaware he even died until the end of the story. The scene may look nonsensical to begin with, and I agree that Steel Wool probably had an idea that it would throw us for a loop, but with the context of how spirits operate in-universe in other instances we've seen in the franchise it makes perfect sense to show the spirit of Vanessa as though she is a person looking at herself from outside her body. And anyway, it isn't even that uncommon of a way of depicting ghosts and spirits in media. I'm reminded of The Sixth Sense as an example.

Occam's razor - often the actual solution is the simplest one Vanessa is Vanny. And even if she has a twin, her making her twin pose as her to be a security guard is overly complicated, and there's no evidence for Vanessa having any sister besides that weird ending

Pretty good but I am on team Vanny or Vanessa is a robot since it is established with the 4th closet that humanoid robots are a thing. Also on the recording of where the psychiatrist gets a photo of Vanessa talking with some one it sounds like it was Vanessa talking to the person dressed up in a rabbit costume.

If you break the game sequence and use a camera or Fazerblast on Vanessa, she'll make robotic sounds and have a full animation. It's possible they just used a random animatronic reaction, but then why leave in the sound unless she's a robot?

As somsome with Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly multiple personality disorder) that lives with it daily and has had it my whole life I’m getting really sick of the “evil alternate personality” trope in fnaf, it’s full of stigma and harmful stereotypes that I’ve had to deal with in my real life multiple times from people I trusted and DID and plurality are already so misunderstood and used as a horror trope when it is a neurodivergent experience and disability. 11:57 DID is also often a covert disorder that can hide memories behind amnesia walls, there are also ways for systems to forcefully trigger out a part (which systems can decide on the ethics of for themselves) and sometimes there are not strong “switches” but more like a gradient.

You know I know this isn't hard evidence because it was scrapped but you also used a couple of scrapped voice lines in your theory so I call this fair game there was originally a vanny meter that once filled up would make Vanessa disappear and Vanny appear and I'm not sure if this was a part of the plan for vivani meter but in the video I watched to gain this knowledge Vanessa even goes into a different room before Vanny appears right outside of that same room
