WHAT is with Dudes Not Wearing Socks? Not a fan of this trend..... What a Great Walk through, Wonderful demonstration of conversation to keep it natural and relaxed. I love how you lift up the client and give them confidence through the shoot with the head tilt section. Props on the Lexar, I use their ProLine and have NEVER had issues with them. They always work!

If you are in formal wear, men should wear socks. Casual slacks and button down on the street or boardwalk then no socks with loafers. Maybe he forgot them. Lol

Excellent teaching video. Shows how to work with people who are not models. The skill is being two jumps ahead so that the session is smooth and appears effortless. If you have a second could you comment on why you haven't used flash. The obvious answer is that the photos look great already! Thank you

This is such great example on how to lead and take charge.. Vanessa, is there a place to learn how to pose people or is it just your experience.. if there's books or videos to further learn this skill can you advise where.. thx.

Hi Vanessa, quick question, subject left eye is smaller than his right, how do you feel about turning him the other way so his eyes are more same size. I've had success with that, makes the client look more even, and psychologically better looking.

I do it sometimes but I don’t dictate a whole session based on that nuance

On my R6 I have the impression the eye tracking doesn't work as well as when I focus manually. It's often a few millimeters 'off' even when the person doesn't move.
@VanessaJoy4 ай бұрын
Well the eye tracking won’t work in manual focus… or did you mean something else?
@wanneske19694 ай бұрын
@@VanessaJoy I meant the eye tracking doesn't work that well on people and animals in AF. When I focus myself, on the eyes with AF , it's more accurate, even for non- moving subjects.

I love the fact that you brought the 35mm F1.8. Even though I also own the 28-70 or a 85mm F1.2 (EF though), I recently started using it again and kinda fascinated by it's "bang for the buck" versatility. Sharpness, Bokeh, macro... It can do a lot. Very good video btw. Was interesting to get a glimpse into this kind of shoot.
