It makes no sense for a level crossing to be located next to a dual carriageway with motorway speeds.

The crossing provides access to an industrial estate and the railway runs parallel to the A13, therefore making very little space for any bridge or underpass.

Well it's quite unique, but I know there's another crossing like this in Fife, Scotland. The crossing is only used by vehicles accessing the estate so it isn't used as much as other crossings. There's a slip road on approach to the crossing so Amy queues do not block the inside lane of the A13.

The barriers would've been stopped if the truck was any closer as this crossing is monitored via CCTV when lowered
