If you guys don't realize, this music came out in 1983 but still sounds great today. I used to listen to it as a child, my mom had it on a cassette tape. I was raised listening to Vangelis every night to fall asleep, I remembered this track very specifically as being one of my favorites. It took mom and I forever to figure out which track it was and what it was called, finding it here and being able to listen to it on a computer in much higher quality is an amazing and special feeling.

I'm 20 and I listen to Vangelis almost every day even though my friends don't understand why I like this type of music. But guess what... I don't care about what they say. I even taught myself how to play this beautiful melody on a synthesizer that I have at home. This is just a true masterpiece.

If you like Vangelis, you should check out Brian Eno. "Deep Blue Day" is as atmospheric as this piece is and is my favorite of his.

After several years working at a high arctic weather station, where I also photographed the stars and aurorae, I moved to Ottawa in 1992. Whereupon I joined the local RASC astronomy club and made a couple of slide and video presentations. The accompanying music was all Vangelis, including a track from Antarctica, if memory serves. No other composer touches my soul like Vangelis does. Many of his works can bring me to cathartic sobbing. Perhaps the most powerful is "It can be done."
