I feel so sorry that for two years in the past I was working right across his house in Athens. I saw him a couple of times in the street but I never approached him to say hi. I regret that so much. I loved his music, I liked the man through his interviews. But I never found the courage to approach him. I was afraid that I will bother him. RIP

I love how Vangelis describes what I have realized only quite lately after making music for decades: The more effective you get in creating music, the actually harder it gets to work on it. It demands so much emotionally from you when you have reached a certain point, that it becomes a pretty exhausting matter. Can even fuck you up sometimes. Long live Vangelis!

Sergiu Celibidache, the father of "Musical Phenomenology", maybe not eevn known to Mr. Vangelis... WHAT A SUPER GENIUS Mr VANGELIS WAS!! JUST BEYOND AMAZING!!!

How very nice to see and hear Vangelis himself speak of the mental processes behind his masterpieces. I have often wondered but never seen nor heard from this genius as I listen to his compositions, what thoughts go through his brain to compose what he does. A true modern day classical artist, not to be taken lightly. Thank You for posting this!

@KRAFTWERK2K63 жыл бұрын
I think Oskar Sala could relate to Vangelis' statement. He too spent years and decades reffining his instrument and its possibilities to fulfill the demands of the music itself.
