The bagging groceries job is mainly for elders or kids, it is a way for those groups to get money even though most people agree it is not very useful. The other tipping situations are annoying for the most part.

Cheap as chips when you consider that there's a suite in a hotel in London that is priced at £26,000.00 per night. That's $ 31,858.06 Although you do get your own butler, or, presumably, lady in waiting, with the suite. Oh plus a Rolls Royce and chauffeur for the duration of your stay.

GUYS in Mexico you should tip 15% to waiters as they don't have a salary. Bagers at the supermarket, there is not a rule but knowing that they do not get pay by the supermarket you should always tip something depends on the number of items. If you don't have just let them know and thank them. Gas attendants, yes they get some money from the gas station but they do not get a lot and they have a lot of responsibility as they hold the money for the gas but you should also give them a tip. There are some guys in large cities that help you park your car by giving you instructions such as turn the wheel left, right or stop. I must admit sometimes they are annoying but we try to help as they are older. Also, Mexico is going thru a weird time as the new prez is a populist and socialist. So the whole country is starting to fall into anarchy and this is the case with road tolls being taken by groups of people with the wrong idea that all the roads should be free. The roads with tolls were built by private companies. They have the permit to operate those roads until they recuperate their investment plus some interest after that the government will be responsible for the roads so it is unfair for the private investors that those roads are being hijacked and this prez is not doing anything about it. The new prez has also opened the southern boarder and now mexico is facing a massive immigration problem. Millions are unhappy and this past weekend in mexico city 30,000 people protested so that he quits the job. he has been in power only 5 months! I hope you understand a little bit more about the tolls.

It is not mandatory to tip anyone in Mexico. It's nice if you tip those services that are well done, but not mandatory. In tourist sites they do expect tips, but that's because gringos brought that concept into Mexico. I'm Mexican and I don't tip in tourist sites and specially musicians. I guess I'm a cheap Mexican 😁 Although, I do get to tip guy or kid bagging my groceries and buy stuff from kids on the streets. (I guess I'm not that cheap 😉)
@victorperez48815 жыл бұрын
Wow I did not know about tipping the bag person. I wonder if that's all over Mexico and in even in the big grocery stores🤔

Know one tips gas attendants in Oregon. You can rest easy.
@alexanderlowe42365 жыл бұрын
I don't think most people tip the gas station attendants in Oregon. I have occasionally but usually because they washed my windshield. I don't think I would have considered health or auto insurance for a trip to Mexico. Just not something I had even thought about, but it seems like a good idea.
@VanGirlYuka5 жыл бұрын
I think auto insurance is very important in Mexico. Eric was really stressed out by driving. They have different driving rules and a lot of road bumps.

You guys only spent $2.15 to poop and pee for 71 days? I'd spend that in an afternoon.
@VanGirlYuka5 жыл бұрын
We paid 5 times for toilet only when it's emergency otherwise we try to find free toilet like Starbucks or library. If we pay 5 pesos for a poop, we rather spend the 5 pesos for a bakery

2-3 pesos a bag??? I never give the grocery bag person more than 5 pesos omg you guys are getting scammed all over the place here. If you don't agree to let them clean your car don't give them money, same with the musicians! They do it with tourists because you are too kind and give them money anyway.
