So yeah Open G (GDGBD) like any other full Sized Banjo. The Mini Banjo is Open C like a Waldzither (or a Regular Banjo w/ a Capo on the 5th Fret) & it sounds like a Regular 5 string Banjo but higher pitched.

Yeah now I definitely know that you can t string the short scale the same as full size

I just got around to watching this one. You’re pretty darn good at those rolls. Much better than me. I gotta say… I really like the aesthetic of these blonde wood banjos. They just look really classic. I think I like the short scale banjo a little bit better but they’re both great. This one sounds really good.

Thanks my friend. And i appreciate the kind words on my banjo progress. I am starting to really like it. Snd I think I might agree with you. Plus I can Uke songs and it’s really easier to handle but I like the lower tone of this one too !

Thanks so much. Cool thing is that since this video I have discovered a style I never knew about and love it. Clawhammer. I will be making a video about this soon. I have been teaching myself for the last 3 weeks and documenting my progress. :) Thanks for watching.

You never mention - at least I haven’t heard you say it, where are these banjos manufactured? are they American made? They sat the have a tone ring in the 28 in one but no mention of type of tone ring?

I’m so sorry I don’t remember because right after I did this video I started to teach myself clawhammer and I never went back to the pinch and the rolls etc. But I used a book to teach myself called the complete idiots Guide to bluegrass banjo by Wayne Ebersen. I hope that helps

The spare strings are almost the right note names this time.

Those strap holders are are only found on cheap banjos and are quite weak. If you're using them and you're standing up both your feet and the banjo are in danger. I was lucky I caught my banjo when it dropped. It's far better to attach the strap around a couple of hooks.
