I don't want to sound offensive but once you see the video the title that now looks like click bait. I thought you were going to say something we had all missed. It is exactly as bad as it sounds. I suppose it makes it easier for smaller inverters to realise how bad Vanguard's platform is.

@@sw793 the title refers to the questions where people thought it applies to the ETFs. As it doesn’t, it’s not as bad as they think. The platform fees are as bad as you think

@TheDividendExperiment thanks, but like many I am fully aware of that. Just the title to me came across badly to get views. Doesn't stop me from subsribing and watching all your content. Just came across as click bait. Just my opnion.

@@sw793 Fair enough, I view clickbait as misleading thumbnail or title where the video doesn't "deliver the goods" but I can see your point of view

@TheDividendExperiment I guess it is where your starting point is. To me, it was (a little) misleading as there is no confusion over platform fees vs. fund charges. I appreciate that to some people, they get confused and need clarity, so good job. Just a heads up that if something is so obvious to most people, then some things may seem patronising, and hence, CB. No offence intended, just pointing out language is interperated. I do love your content and have a 50/50 mix in my ISA of growth and dividend stock paying about £400 a month average dividends. Your channel is good encouragement. I've been having a play with a coverd call S&P500 etf (just a playful amount). Interesting results (in a good way). Have you ever looked at them?

I put my transfer request through on Tuesday, it's a shame this has happened as I would have stayed with Vanguard but I can't justify the hike in fees. Before I put it through I did have a question for Invest engine and they E-Mailed back within a matter of hours so the customer support so far with them is a win for me.

That’s pretty good that they still emailed back quickly, must have hundreds of new customers this last week I imagine

It's the fact that it hurts those with small portfolios, those who are just starting and when you can invest in their ETFs on other platforms for zero fee who is going to start their adventures in investing with Vanguard now? It's a very short term thinking from them as once you've started elsewhere what reason would you have to move to them later?
@TheDividendExperiment10 күн бұрын
Yeah doesn’t make sense to me as small portfolios become larger portfolios eventually

So for someone who has vanguard S&P 500 shares through Trading212, will they have to pay fees?
@TheDividendExperiment10 күн бұрын
No
@TheDividendExperiment10 күн бұрын
Well not the fees that are the point of the video, they still pay the ETF fees that they were paying before anyway

Perfect, thanks for confirming

This is a pretty clickbait title. I don't think I've seen any information or news saying Vanguard are increasing their ETF fees. Most people in this financial space are talking about the platform fees increasing, not sure why its titled "it's not as bad as you think" when pretty much it is?
@TheDividendExperiment10 күн бұрын
Dude there are even comments below asking if affects their trading 212 account. It might surprise you but this video is not just for you, it’s for my audience many of which have been confused if it affects them. I explained what the video is for in the video
