every gun gets flame rounds im suprised rpgs don't get that treatment i remember only a few guns in mw had special rounds that did more damage overtime i can recall 4 guns that had the special now every fast lmg smg and fast ttk weapons allhave this now. each day i have less motivation to play warzone i really feel that they really ruin wz this time. i had one situation when i saw the guy first i shoot first with ar without flame rounds, the guy turns to face me and less then 3 seconds kills me he had the bren and fire rounds.

Vanguard integration has killed warzone for me personally. Cold War also damaged it completely, weeks/ months of unbalanced weapons and glitches made the game a lot less fun overall. Peak Warzone was the 1st year Halloween event, after that it's steadily been going downhill. I haven't played in over a week and have no desire to with the game in it's current state.

Integration is definitely damaging it big time. I know 20+ players who used to play 5+ hours each night to doing 2-3 matches then leaving. On console it's broken in so many way you just can't have much fun. Slowly majority will see Warzone as a weekend game.

@@schafer152 true that it takes a little longer 8 to 12 h to level up guns but you actually do not need to level up fully the guns to get the good stuffs and second this year shipment came early and third assists can as full kills and combat pacing which allows you to play on smaller maps with more people and get more kills than the traditional 6vs6 modz

This game is in a sad state although it had great potential. A new map that feels too big and too empty at the same time. So many hills and slides at open space. So many points where you can get gunned and have no chance to fight back. Broken mechanics such as airplanes that never miss. Ww2 guns with so many useless attachments just to make casuals to grind for hours to put together a decent loadout. A new loadout system that promotes slower pace in the early game on top of the already general slow pace due to map size. So many bugs, especially for console players that represent a large percentage of the player base Broken promises on the anti-cheat and console fov. Activision turned this gold prospect into their own pathetic reflection.

I remember when this first came out during quarantine, I played this everyday with the boys and had so much fun! Now that the game has progressed to how it is now, it’s like being a console player your being penalized for it. No FoV, packet burst, lagging, bloom (which is ridiculous), audio cuts out. This game is so bad on console. They better do something about it all.

From a software development lifecycle perspective they should've released Caldera earlier if possible or pushed it back to after the holidays. This would've lessened the chances of having a broken game when a lot of the developers would be out of office during the holidays. Pushing such a massive build change like this should have not been done 20 or so days before Christmas.

Several issues with the vanguard intervention. 1) The map is okay but not great, it’s new at the moment but can see it getting fairly samey and boring. 2) the 1st load out dropping in zone 2 makes the game play slow having ground loot for 9+ mins is stupid. 3) not being able to get your load out quick makes ranking guns an effort when you don’t always get to use them in game. Really disappointed with the changes they have made to warzone.

Hey JGOD, I think you might be underestimating what a bad place it is in. Since Warzone dropped in 2020 there has barely been a day I havnt put a few hours in. Since Caldera, there have been many days I havnt played and when I do play, I am just not enjoying it anymore. It's not the same as cold war integration, it is broken but I worry that even when its fix, will it be enjoyable? Cant put my finger on exactly what the issues are but between the new map, new weapons and new rules, it has lost something.

Absolutely. There’s nothing good about these new changes: guns are hard to use (bloom still?), map is too cluttered, gameplay loop blows now, and then top that off with game-breaking bugs lol. The thing I don’t see many people noticing is the issue with the POI’s on the new map. The majority of the POI’s are on the edges of the map besides 3 of them and people only land at 2 of them I think they could have shuffled up the POI’s a bit more IMO

Don't expect a single update to fix a majority of the game. It usually takes numerous updates as everytime these Devs put out an update they break the game even more. As well as most of the QA testers are gone.

I love warzone. I like the new map but I just can't bring myself to play. Not being able to purchase a loadout right away makes the early game slow and boring. Also gun leveling takes way too long. Cold war had the same issue. You could spend an entire day leveling a gun in Cold War and Vanguard and not being able to enjoy Warzone. I guess my biggest gripe is the amount of time it takes to level a gun. I remember when the Finn came out in modern warfare and I had it leveled in 90 minutes on shipment with double xp. Took around 150 kills. I'm not even sure how many kills I have on the NZ but I bet it's 300 or 400 and not full leveled.

The early game is only slow because you are waiting for your loadout. There's nothing keeping you from playing aggressive right from the start. Plus, no one is ghosted before the first circle closes, UAVs are extremely powerful then.

It has been this broken both from day one of Vanguard, and it’s integration into Warzone. You cannot look at this game and think that it was properly play tested AT ALL. All the while these problem were persisting with little to no communication from Sledgehammer. The same Sledgehammer that was tweeting up a storm trying to get people to buy Vanguard. Now, they’re radio silent. They blatantly oversold and under delivered with this game. The greed is as transparent as it can get.

Loadout change ruined the game for me. Bored after 2 matches. It takes what feels like 30 minutes to get your hands on the loadout you wanted to use just to get shot in the back and die 2 minutes after and the cycle repeats. There is like 10 minutes of nothing happening between the first fights after landing and the loadout drops. So stale.

I got bored of Verdansk early this year, just after the CW integration, I waited to see how Caldera was received and I have played maybe 5 games max. It’s just not fun for me and it shows with the way people have left the game and are complaining about it but at the end of the day, it’s a free to play game so you can’t really complain about it.

The pacing stinks. The vehicles are horrific. Finding people is hit or miss. Constantly going up hills, fighting in bushes, trees. Every gun has 0 skill because 10 attachments. And that's not even mentioning the never ending bugs especially in console. My play time (along with my friends) on warzone has already been cut drastically & i think it'll continue. It just isn't enjoyable.

People complained at past integrations but they could fall back on a fantastic map. The game itself is brutal AND the map sucks. Running up a hill all game, being 3rd/4th partied constantly, being shot in the back from random bushes, trees is 0 fun. That's not even mentioning the never ending bugs.

Vanguard definitely ruined warzone, its the first time we have these broken weapons with 10 attachments. With cold war they did release broken weapons at the beginning dmr etc, but after they got nerfed mw guns could still compete with cold war, this is a garbage integration.

@@propper50 the problem is not as simple as a nerf, the whole 10 attachments thing is a game changer, you can build weapons with faster movement than using permanent dead silence or less recoil than a kilo with pre nerf em2 damage, etc. this whole year will be broken vanguard weapons. Cold war guns had way faster movement speed than mw but mw weapons still hit hard, not to mention the insane amount of time it takes for a casual player to level up vanguard weapons. I get that jgod and all the streamers need warzone to succeed for their financial safety but this integration was just pure garbage.

This game would be larger than life if they never tried to integrate their annual titles into war zone. The battle royale should only be managed by infinity ward. The only reason that’s not the case, is because Activision still needs a way to sell you a new COD every year. As if the developers aren’t making enough through in-game micro-transactions. It’s one of the sickest cash grabs I’ve ever seen as a gamer, and should tell you how little developers like activsion value their customers.

I have had no issues with temps or usage in WZ ( 1660 Ti ) but there are spots on the map where I dip hard to 60 FPS. That was only happening around Nakatomi tower previously.

Also I really like the new map and I specifically like the vanguard only modes it’s so refreshing not having to rely on the heartbeat censor and sometimes I don’t feel like I even need ghost, sometimes I run Tempered or high alert

I am a casual Warzone player. When Caldera came out at first I thought it was great until they started releasing all of these updates. I honestly believe the updates have made the game a lot worse. I used to love using the Automaton and they destroyed it. Then it was the other gun, sorry I forgot the name of it. Why do they have to "fix" a game that is not broken. I cant play it anymore. The game changes so much I cant keep up, and thats the problem. That is my reason for not playing Caldera anymore.

Allowing a Triple A, multi-billion dollar company (that's your hard-earned money making those billions for them remember) off the hook for continually and annually breaking a game as ok is not ok. Have we allowed our own expectations to get to such a low-level that half-finished beta versions of games, full of bugs and glitches are ok? WTF! If I produced a website update (I'm a graphic designer) that was full of missing images, typos, links that didn't work, incorrect information; half-assed it basically, and then went on my hols without fixing any of it, I'd soon be told to clear my desk and find another job or even profession. I would have no arguments because I know I half-assed it and did nothing to rectify it! But, no, it's ok for multi-billion dollar gaming publishers/developers studios to do it continually, whilst at the same time profiting from all your hard-earned money spent on new editions and micro-transactions. Again, WTF! Portraying this as something we have to accept, based merely on the weak argument that "hey! they've f***** up plenty before with previous incarnations and eventually got round to fixing a few minor/major bugs and glitches" is unacceptable.

Amazing how they got this so wrong. As an Xbox player: FOV (broken record) is even more of an issue in Caldera due to the non-stop UP / DOWN landscape. I literally run right into people that are standing 10 feet away and 40 feet up that I cannot see, and that's the entire map - zero flat ground. The amount of foliage is ridiculous, it's made solos even more campy than Warzone, which is hard to believe. And, fundamentally, no ability to buy a load out has completely changed the game to an RNG based BR with the tryhards buying UAV's non-stop for the first 5 minutes of the game. Just so many problems - I won't talk about the 10 minutes it takes to load a lobby or the multiple crashes per day.

@Jgod - I’ve been playing cod since 2006 with same friends and fam. Before you that’s for sure. This is the first time 10 of us have abandoned COD for Battlefield, Far Cry and Halo. This map is definitely killing Warzone! We all still dealt with the hacking and all other issues but this map tuned us out. It’s done unless the map is changed back to Verdansk or a similar map.

You always hear that the new COD killed Warzone. However, I have never seen an update like this one that has this many issues. Plus, console players got shafted. The PS5 has been out nearly a year and half. Devs have had over 2.5 years to develop for the PS5 and were still running a PS4 game. It's unacceptable. I have a PC and PS5 and play on PC as much as I can, but for a company that got over 3 billion in microtransactions from Warzone alone, they should have plenty of money to hire the amount of personnel necessary to make a next gen version of the game. I know my gaming crew all have PS5. They have went from gaming every night on Warzone to a few days a week. One has boycotted it completely until they add FOV. What should be a "boom" for Warzone since they added a new map has turned into a bust. The worst part is it doesn't seem like they care about what these console players really want or have asked for. They simply keep throwing microtransaction content down our throat while ignoring the vast majority of broken things people want fixed. If a game like COD ever comes out and we ever get devs that care about the community like the devs of Fortnite care about there community, then COD will die.
