I bought one of these in rough shape when I was 14 from a church friend. The car was 20 then so you can do the math. My last duty station was in California, and I had it completely restored as a retirement gift to myself. Exactly like this one, except mine is candlelight cream with the black interior. Been driving the old girl for 32 years and she still turns heads and puts a smile on my face.

My 1st car was 1966 2+2 421 ci No a/c. 4 Speed. 338 hp. Standard hubcaps with fender skirts. Color was blue charcoal metallic. A single 4 barrel carb. I was the 3rd owner on our street. My buddy's older bought it when he got out of the military. It was in the showroom. He sold it to my buddy, the brother of the original owner. My buddy past away at 19. His parents offered the car to me. I bought it. Before he died the car was stolen. I bought it anyway. Kept it for 2 years. It needed expensive work. I was in college. It was fun to drive but never was the same after it was stolen. Lots of memories in that car.
