My Dads first brand new car. It truly is a beauty when you can see one is this amazing condition! That interior is gorgeous. The straight eight and 3 speed manual on the column (what I also learned to drive in) is a perfect match as well. The fact it's a convertible is icing on the cake so to speak! Wish Dad was still around to watch and comment on this video.

What a sharp custom Classic, a Buick worthy of all the time an money put into it. When I young our family stayed with Fords , others supported Chevrolet. If our parents would have been more informed we would have owned Buicks or Oldsmobiles . Buicks like this model look great and Ride Much better then some lightweight Chevrolet or Ford

Top down for sure Greg - “top down motoring”. Great car and fun to see a few classics - smooth ride. I too learned how to drive on a 3 on the tree at 14 driving an old Falcon in fields and gravel driveways.

Not a fan of the wire wheels (Buick didn't offer them until 1953) but I like the car. I really liked the '48 Roadmaster you had last year. Love that you kept it the original 6 volt which starts it right away like it should & no aftermarket junk.

We had a '47 fastback with the factory dual carbs. My dad had the exhaust manifold split with a 2/3 rds block. Sounded good.

My dad owned the very same car back then, in light yellow, ivory steering wheel and all. He shipped it from New York to Cairo and his photo taken with it in front of the pyramid.

Absolute beauty ! I love the gun sight hood ornament and the P- 38 lightning body design my father had four strait eight Buicks and he loved them and ran shine in them he said they were faster then the ford and Chevy patrol cars great color too !!!👍👍👍👍🙂

That’s a lot of iron there, my dad had a friend with the coupe, he came by one day, parked it in our one lane driveway, and when he went to leave he’d had a flat tire, and his jack was missing, we took the jack from my dads “rambler classic” we went to jack up the Buick, got about 8 inches up wheels still kissing the ground when the Rambler jack’s bumper hook just “unfurled” from a hook to a “ramp” pointing down!

Meu pai comprou um 48/49 , zero , na Mesbla , Rio de Janeiro , um SUPER , verde ,quatro portas , seu colega Dr. Botafogo comprou um Roadmaster preto, a socialite Carmen Mayrink Veiga um Roadmaster conversível branco . O conversível encontra-se conservado em minha cidade .

Mom bought a used '41 in '45 in Syracuse NY and had it until late '48. As a todler I recall the overpowering smell of the leather interior.

Very nice but I can see vintage cars on You tube anytime. If you gave prices then I would subscribe and watch your channel but without prices it is just another vintage car site.
