My first car in high school was a 62 or 63 thunderbird. Loved that car.

My uncle had a white one with a blue green interior. He loved a good practical joke and took great delight in telling people that the tip away steering wheel was to allow the passenger to give the driver a break. He traded it on a 1968 TBird with the 390 engine. It was soon back at the dealer getting a 428 or 429 swapped into it. He was not inclined to let just anyone pass him.

I was at Mecum about 5 years ago and I seen a T Bird just as clean as this it was a restomod Red on Red but the cool thing is the guy put a coyote engine in it and digital dash and disk breaks drop dead gorgeous and it went across the block for 29 grand and to this day I just can't get over not raising my hand

And it has the meat clever front fenders. I saw a picture of a 1961 convertible T-bird that had some custom work done to it. The top was down and it was painted silver. It looked like it could be on the Jetsons cartoon. I expected it to fly LOL.

Too bad that the buyer didn't order air conditioning. Growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, as a hobby I became an expert on factory air conditioning configurations. Friends of ours had a cherry 1963 model fully equipped including the big Lincoln engine.

In the 80's I saw an Australian movie where the hero drove a 61' convertible T bird. Steering wheel on the right side too. It was and he was the coolest thing . So I bought one, but couldn't afford to restore it. Wish I knew the title of the movie. I'd like to see it again.
