Vanilla Calamity Mod Music - "Gelatinous Monarch" - Theme of King Slime

Side Story 29: As I upload this one I am on vacation. Been trying to relax and set my mind right for the rest of the album which is currently 75% of the way done. This remaster was a lot of fun to make and it made me realize just how far I have come as an artist. I just hope the calamity community and the devs enjoy my music as much as I do.

Why not 3 nickels? I mean, the king slime theme from calamity extra themes doesnt really fit if youre not playing calamity, but if you are, it really fits the intensity of the fight early game when the 3 modes death revengeance and infernum are packed together. Also, infernum is an addon (you probably already know that)

I love the use of the Slime God motifs in this, really makes them feel like properly connected boss rather than completely independent entities. This remaster also just sells how intense the fight can actually be in something like death or malice, and still makes it feel properly royal. Bravo, this remaster goes fucking hard.

I absolutely ADORE your unique themes for pre-hardmode bosses, especially this one. Pre-hardmode, in my opinion, is the most underrated part of every playthrough, it gives some RPG vibes with all that exploring and attempting to defeat some first, basical threats that you can easily wipe your feet on later. You absolutely nailed this vibe, dude, and I'm looking forward to hear some new reimagined themes like Plantera or Golem boss soundtracks. Wish you best luck and inspiration!

Fun fact, when using both vanilla music and infernum music together king slime Is the only boss that has the vanilla theme take priority. Can defiantly say I preference this version though so I'm not complaining of course, just thought that was interesting. Banger theme :)

Ok honestly, what are the slimes. They are neutral enemies, and don't attack unless attacked first (meaning they don't target you, they still do contact damage). This makes me think that the slimes are actually just regular citizens of the terraria world, unlike stuff like zombies and demon eyes, who actively try to kill you

Pretty damn good theme, i can really feel the symphony of the whistles mixed with the guitars and the rhythm of beats and otherworldy ooo’s. Blends really nicely with how it feels to be chased by a massive blob with the immense intent on assimilating you, adding you to itsself… In general, 10/10

I fits well with any fight, it sounds like the theme of an army. I like to put it over some events like the Old one army and stuff

I was fighting this boss on master revengeance as a summoner without an arena and this song sounded so cool while I was fighting him. Really gives King Slime the theme he deserves. Its as if the closer I got to death, the song got more tense. Great job.

I like the use of the Trumpets found in Queen Slimes theme, not sure if it was intensional but ties them together in my head. I do wonder, if when calamity makes it to 1.4, they'll potentially shift the Slime God fight up the progression. Feels weird to fight King Slime, then Slime God, then Queen Slime in that order.

I actually feel the opposite. I don't think SG's motif works for this boss because lore-wise, KS does not have any direct affiliation with SG. Like yeah, they're both slime bosses, but that's it. It can be loosely infered that the ninja in KS is a part of the clan that worships SG, which does take center stage with Infernum KS, but that is still much too loose to warrent the motif at all imo
