This is exactly the type of playstyle I'm looking for. I've always been a huge Shammy fan way back in TBC (never played vanilla) - notably Enh, but judging from what I've seen/read, Enh is an auto-attack slot machine. I'm not a fan of anything almost entirely rng dependent. This however is fantastic. To be an Enh Shammy on the fly looks extremely fun. I'll totally give this a try. Now all I have to figure out now is what to main.. This or a hunter..

Rocking lv 60 shaman on a classic pvp server I leveled and have been raiding as enh. WPVP came out and it left me with something to desire. I have Finkle's lava drdge good caster stats but high end dmg, what sort of gear priority should I have for raid, and pvp with this build? Do I build for full ele? or add in some of my enh gear?

I've had something similar in mind, going elemental untill the crit bonus dmg and filling out shocks, maybe even cast time on lightning and then going enhancement for the rest. I think it will make quite a fun spec come classic

I've been playing around with a similar build (31/20/0) in full blue gear on retrowow. I'm using my fast 1h to make a crit and activate Flurry, then switch to my 2h for the chance of a wf proc. The reduced grounding totem cd also helps alot. The best thing about this build is the element of surprise. People would rather take a chain lightning to the face than letting you get close to them with that arcanite reaper in your hand. Also, we counter mages and rogues, which will be very popular classes in Classic.

This may be an older vid but it's nice to see someone with a similar spec and setup for shammies, don't see many at all on retro. I went for 3% melee hit in gear and with a spell crit I hit 30% crit and near that for spell crit. I mainly run with mom out it confuses people, especially squishy mages :). I can do nearly the same damage as either, can't be kited like pure enhance, and the in your face drawback of elemental is diminished too. Love timing chain lightning with auto attack swings and get a windfury on top :)

Hey Exec. Big fan here. I’m definitely rolling a shaman for classic but wondering which race I should go, for me it’s either orc or tauren. I prefer the orc animation to the tauren but it seems that an experienced player can get more out of warstomp than hardiness. What’s your take on that? Would you roll orc or tauren if you wanted to mix both pve and pvp? Thanks again for the great content :))

Thanks! I personally like Orc better, especially female for the casting animations. I do believe that Tauren is better in PvP, but I don't like the aesthetics much. Play what you want to play, you will have a better class experience!

You can still heal with this spec, it is just painful with mana. Same thing will be with ele resto except some healing benefits. You need mana tide for raid and high pace dungeons.

Thanks. It's not worth taking ghost wolf over NS, unless you're leveling. Tauren's having bigger hitboxes arent a thing in classic.

Executus Gaming well that’s the thing, in an actual blue post from blizzard they state a commonly reported bug in beta classic retail testing is the Tauren extended melee range and extended hit box. They state it’s not a bug and will not be fixed. That makes me want to avoid playing ele shaman as Tauren because it would be harder to kite. Thanks for the build advice

My biggest question about the enhancement tree is this: can Flurry proc off a spell crit? In other words can you pop EM to get a spell crit which would proc both Elemental Devastation as well as Flurry, in theory?

That's actually an interesting question. At first I was like "pfff you can't have both EM and Flurry at the same time, they're too deep into the trees". It turns out that you actually can :p The tooltip for Flurry says "bla bla bla... after dealing a critical strike". E.g. both ED and Thundering strikes specifically says whether it's only spell crits or melee crits. So my guess would be, yes Flurry and ED should both proc when you use EM.

Cool vid! I am running a similar build with a little more customized gear that gives up some of the Naxx caster items in favour of some AQ40 items that buff both spellpower and your melee stats. I have one suggestion tho: You should definetly try out Neretzek instead of MoM since it scales very well with spellpower. The proc happens fairly often and with a few consumables the lifedrain effect can crit for ~1k on top of your Wf which is just insane burst... not to mention how often the instant 1k heal has saved me. :)

Need to get your hands on ironfoe and hand of Justice as a trinket and have windfury on that main hand and keep your caster shield up and your typical caster gear and see what kind of damage you can pull out. With hand of Justice being able to proc off of ironfoe and windfury, windfury being able to proc off ironfoe and hand of Justice and ironfoe being able to proc off of windfury and hand of Justice I could totally see a six or seven proc hit on one swing.

That would be super cool, I may test that. It would be pretty hard to get my hands on IF, but I'll see what I can do. I think the better option would still be a hybrid spec between enhance and ele, or just pure enh. Even if I got a 5 number stack with IF, the damage wouldn't be more than 200 non crit. Everything looks decent with BiS gear. Yet I wonder how surprised will be people be that it's almost impossible for a shaman to get the gear in question in Classic. Had the full AQ-40 set on my shaman back in the day, yet never got the Death's Bargain or even Lok'Amir or a mace better than Herald of Woe. Stuff dropped so rarely for us it was a shame. Even had the ZG tiger, yet ran around with 1h mace from Cenarion Circle rep.

Nice video, my fav part is when you comment you will go for the objective and then pop rocket boots to get into the zerg quicker at 05:20. Proceeding to let the EFC pass you at 5:28, riiight next to you, being absolutely oblivious. Deciding to pick flag and running it down tun into them at 08:17 when you are 0 to 2 down is a close second, though. Also: While the gear/buffs are insane and ele talents still carry this enough with that, judging from your other vids you are probably at a level where you are well aware that the talent points for 2h are absolutely useless with no melee stats, swing reset from swap and slower attacks for enemy totems etc. So i'm guessing you're just trying to clickbait or fool your audience with this amazing new big demugg spec?
