Poets of Berlin was my first ever niche perfume buy, something sooo exciting and different about it. The bright opening but then the earthy green bamboo and warm base, one of my favorite Spring scents that get people to ask what I'm wearing. Nothing like it out there which is what I look for in a niche perfume, the uniqueness.

Althair was love at first sniff for me, I couldn’t wait for the fall to wear it so I threw it on the other night and felt amazing on my skin and it projects!! Sampled poets recently and fell in love! Such a unique fragance now I want to try absolute aphrodisiac

I fell in love with Sel Vanille by Madison Tahité. Not super complex but the combo of sea salt and a great vanilla is so unusual and works absolutely beautifully.

Agreed. Vanilla is one of my favourite notes personally, I enjoy the full spectrum. Complex vanilla, aromatic vanilla, sweet vanilla. I’ll take them all

I love Absolute Aphrodisiac. I found a similar scent to it is Amouage Material, and that is the vanilla I tend to wear most, along with Angelique Noire.

I LOVE both versions of Ani - would go so far to say it's the closest to a signature scent for me. I use the original version but that's mostly because I can get it on discounted sites. Tried supermassive and that's an amazing vanilla - but the price tag is holding me back from buying a full bottle. Thanks for a yummy video 😊

I own Ani, the OG. I adore it, BUT... it took some time to love. It was challenging at first... the opening I found a bit strange. But now it is my favorite vanilla, hands down. What do you think of Lalique's Lalique Le Parfum? That falls in the interesting vanilla category. It has a very unique profile with that bay leaf in the opening. But I find it strangely compelling. And affordable, too. I paid only 25 Euros for 100 ml, but it smells like a very expensive, elegant fragrance.

Have you tried Vanagloria? A lot of people get Babycat and N°5 vibes from it as well. It's slightly more expensive than Vivamor, but still much cheaper than Rosendo and YSL (and easier to get in the EU)

Love Absolute Aphrodisiac, Ani (OG my favorite but X is more versatile) and Mind Games Queening think all three works great on Men's skin. I know Parfums de Marly - Althair is new but it is one of the most basic vanilla scents. In fact, its one of the most basic fragrance out period. Once the initial hype dies from the free bottles, I promise no one will be talking about it just like Kalan. But I do want to test it again maybe in the summer to see if that helps.

I knew many would disagree with my take on Althair, I’ve heard so many people call it basic and boring. I love it so much, I reach for it quite a lot. Each to their own I guess but I think it’s amazing but maybe more appealing to women?! Agreed Ani X is more versatile, I really enjoy both but Ani X is easier for me to wear. I prefer the OG on my husband though.

@@hayley.clough Basic doesn't mean bad by no means. I think Althair smells nice but I just don't get the complexity that you get. I suggest trying Les Indemodables Vanille Havane, Dior Vanillaroma, MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold (I am sure you have) and Hypnotizing Fire from The Harmonist. I think they are all more complex vanillas than Althair.

Scent Split do ship to the UK but they have a minimum threshold, well at least they used too. It’s quite high though, I believe $150 to ship to the UK. Unless they’ve changed it.
