I saw The Fudge, just the once in 2004 in a tiny venue, Renfrew Ferry Glasgow, Scotland. Bill Pascalli, Teddy Rondenelli, Tim and Carmine. There were only about 70 of us in the tiny venue and we witnessed a masterclass on musicianship and professionalism. There may have only been about 70 there, but they played like they were performing to 10,000. One of the best gigs I have ever seen.

First song is an old Monkees song written by Neil Diamond in the late 60s. Vanilla Fudge might be called a cover band but they do to top 40 what the original couldn't do a lot of times. They take a tired old song and make it relevant. Not crazy about "Break on the to the Other Side." Still, they are great musicians!

There is no drummer like this one here who taught Bonham how to loosen up and get heavy like lead on a double bass drum for Led Zep
@franksaladino39382 ай бұрын
You don't know what your talking about. Bonham use a double kick for one gig Jimmy Page told him to use one kick , Bonham made that one kick sound heavy Bonham recorded that first amazing record before he ever knew Carmine . I agree Carmine and every NYC drummer was doing broken triplets , which Bonham always gets credit for . Bonham was inspired by Carmine , but that don't mean he taught him how to be heavy , listen to the first few Led Zeppelin albums , that Good Times , Bad times was some of the heaviest drumming of the day , way before he bet Carmine

I loved the Yardbirds, I am not into tribute bands.

This alleged Yardbirds lot are truly horrible, no soul at all, and twerps are rating their CDs better than the real Yardbirds stuff, which is about as stupid as it gets.

Have a tick for having the good taste to not like this. It's like The Nice on a very, very very very very bad day

Does this look like a Tribute Band....? Tribute bands are like The Fab Four, Letz Zep, and The Doors Alive those are Tribute Bands... And if y'all can't recognize the difference then that's on those like yourselves.
@garymorgan33146 жыл бұрын
Having a minor member on board of a group known for three guitarists, and a decent singer who could play a mean harp doth a tribute band make. Key test: would I go to see this lot? Not tempted even if you offered me a free ticket and transport. Same reason I'd not buy any of their stuff...they sound nothing like the Yardbirds.

@Greg Hubbard I had quite a discussion with one bloke who thought this lot on a par with the original! P.S. You seeing Jeff Beck on his tour this spring/summer? (covid permitting). I have bought a ticket foreach of his London gigs.

Repeat after me !!! ARE YOU WITH ME !!!! Carmine sounds like a bad wedding singer , trying to excite the audience , but sounding like he total amateur . Carmine does a great rock and roll drum solo , always new fun stick tricks , but he insists on doing that stupid Repeat after me Freddy Mercury did that , it should end there , but Freddy still sounded musical and cool , Carmine sounds unprofessional , like you would hear from a truck driver drunk at a local bar > CARMINE DO THE WORLD A BIG FAVOR STop DOING THAT STUPID REPEAT AFTER !!!! ARE YOU WITH ME BS NO WE ARE NOT WITH YOU . Please stick to drumming . I bet you would never hear John Bonham , Charlie Watts , Buddy Rich , Tony Williams , Dennis Chambers , Dave Weckl , Vinny Colaiuta. or his brother Vinny Appice acts so unprofessional , especially for a rock star ,
