Vanilla Ice | Haters, Lies About His Childhood, Drugs, Did Suge Knight Really Threaten His Life?

His story really does sound like a classic case of overnight success. One day, Vanilla Ice was a regular local nightclub performer and the next he had a number 1 album, an army of devoted fans and could buy anything he wanted with his new found wealth. He also had a lot of critics accusing him of everything from lying about his background to ripping off a genre of music that didn’t belong to people who look like him. The hate got so bad that it even drove him to wanting to end it all. Then, after the lights dimmed on his career, he was forced to create a new life and figure out who he was without the fame.

Vanilla Ice did very well for himself. After everyone was paid their share, including suges extortion, he cleared 6 million and he invested it wisely instead of blowing it like MC Hammer. Even though his music career failed he accomplished what most musicians never will, financial freedom. My hats off to him, he did good for himself and i think that was the problem most people had. Envy is a deadly sin.

I often think about all the hate MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice both got. They would've been able to thrive today in the age of social media. Ppl talk about this "cancel culture " b.s. but, nobody ever really gets canceled unless they truly do something terrible (i.e. R. Kelly, Harvey Weinstein, etc.). The first white man I ever had a crush on and JC played him well on ILC😂 OAN: Justin Bieber should play him if they ever make a movie about him.

Ice Ice Baby has over 550 million views now. Ice is back with Superbowl Half time shows, sold out concerts, even his own energy drink in recent years. Who gets the last laugh again?

Why do people not like him? He was magnificent and talented ! Is it because he did black music ?

7:49 Arsenio was speaking facts. Real talk. Mr. Van Winkle always came off like a weirdo to me. I was born in '91... so i only ever saw him after he was washed up and on shit like "I love the 90s" talking crazy about how ice ice baby wasnt a straight bite 🤡😂

Ofc 🙄 why am I not even surprised that he never even knew his dad, and that his mom gave him a bunch of half-siblings and married a lot. Every single time a white person breaks into black music genres (r&b or rap), they ALL "coincidentally" had some type of trauma growing up? 🤨🤨
