Interesting idea already treated in Omeleto’s “Eclair”, but with a different approach. In my opinion, “Vanilla” says and shows too much. In “Eclair”, the two characters are seated at a restaurant table from start to finish, it’s all about the dialogue, a dialogue so well written and so well delivered that it manages to be more intriguing, captivating and even more erotic. The two main actors in “Vanilla” are really excellent, in fact I could easily see them play their respective parts in “Eclair”.

Similar things happen it seems not just in movies. I live in a leafy posh part of a western European city, calm et al. It is summer night, quite warm outside, around 02:30 in the morning, I go out to smoke a cigarette and in the perfect silence of the night I hear someone running down the street, kind of like barefoot .... pat pat pat pat.... I turn down to see and there was a completely naked man running with only a towel on his head !!!! He was running fast and he turned the corner and vanished into the ether. It was evident what happened : he was a tall, quite athletic man, the type of man that could be a ladies' man. Apparently he crept in some married woman's house to do the deed with her and the husband returned unexpectedly, he was completely naked, escaped through the bathroom where he only found a hand towel to throw over him but he could not put it around him so he placed it over his head so as to conceal his face while he was running in the streets to get to his home or wherever, a friends place etc. Needless to say the whole scene, even if it lasted for a few seconds was surreal. It was also another reminder of why you shouldn't get entangled with married women. It is wrong, you know it is wrong, it more often than not turns badly not just for her, her husband, her marriage but first and foremost for her kids if she has. But it also turns bad for you if you do it : it is bad karma.
