You should never, ever, allow a dog to ride on an escalator. Always pick the dog up, or take the stairs. If part of his paw gets caught in the gap between the stairs and the side panel, the escalator will not stop. That's your dog's leg gone. In London, there are warning signs about that on the Tube escalators.

@@elizabethlock6169 Agree, very, very risky for a little dog. When I was 10, my skirt got grabbed by an escalator I was on with my sister. I was lucky it only tore part of it off and my sister pulled me away.

@user-ke3cy4ri6i I have seen a few things happen on escalators over the years.. Nothing serious fortunately, but enough to show me that things do get stuck when the steps are closing, especially near the top. You can do nothing about it at that late stage. Animals are in particular danger! Thanks! ❤️

My heart nearly stopped when you had Vanilla on that escalator. I worked for London Underground and have personally seen and had to deal with the horrifying accidents that occur when dogs get their paws or tails caught. Escalators don't stop. Dogs get horribly, seriously, irrevocably injured. I cannot, cannot stress this enough. Never, ever, ever, take your dog on a moving escalator or travellator.... either pick the dog up, or find the alternative route. Please. I have SEEN the awful injuries dogs can suffer.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢.

Please don’t let your dog on an escalator. I saw a dogs tail get caught in the gap and it was horrifying. Please pick her up and keep her safe.
