I watched this made-for-TV movie when it came out and fell in love with it. Started thinking about it the other night. Amazon has it on sale on VHS for $100. Figured I'd try my luck here and there it was! Couldn't believe it. Absolutely great movie with a great twist at the end that no one sees coming.

I actually got it on VHS and transferred to a DVD disc too. If it was not for streaming like before I'd be digging through my discs now. Why don't they restore and stream this awesome movie, I don't know.

One of the best murder mystery movie I've ever seen. I can't explain why it's so good, that would take too long, just watch it to the end, you'll know what I mean. 10 out of 10. What's amazing is, there are no multi Million dollar special effects like many modern movies.

Mike Farrell quickly became my favorite character as B J Honeycutt on ‘M A S H’, the series and there were so many great actors on that series. I saw the ‘M A. S H’ movie at a drive-in theater during the summer, before I entered nurse college. I was distressed at how medical people were portrayed, I certainly was naive.
@TheNameisPlissken19812 жыл бұрын
Gould is so good in this, I'd put it right up there with his best performance in 1978's The Silent Partner! The ending is probably the greatest ending of any murder mystery I have ever seen! However, it is almost ruined by the jarring cut to Mike Ferrell's stunt double who looks shockingly so unlike Mike Ferrell that it's explosively funny! That said, Vanishing Act is a top notch made for TV movie where the writing sometimes overshadows the acting and the directing.

Misteri Dilaila may have 'borrowed' from this movie Vanishing Act, but Vanishing Act also 'borrowed' its basic premise from the 1958 British film Chase A Crooked Shadow. The endings of Vanishing Act and Chase A Crooked Shadow are fundamentally the same - elaborate setup to achieve revelation of a crime by the criminal to people who are not what they seem.
@ikramhaizammuri94915 ай бұрын
Misteri Dilaila is just a pure rip off of this classic film. Its not a problem to produce a rip off or a remake of a classic film but you have to admit and reference them when you have to. Instead, keep denying and convince others that the story is originally yours is what make it wrong and can be considered as plagiarism.

@srinivasannarayanan8056 I preferred One of my wives is missing more, although this one has plenty of witty dialogue and a great actor who can deliver it: Eliot Gould. I don't find certain things plausible. I don't think, for instance, a husband would place his wife in danger.
