Vanishing Act: Where Did I Go for 9 Months?
In this 'come back' video I explain why I haven't uploaded to KZbin for 9 months.
Hopefully, most of that is behind me now and I can start the recording, editing and publishing process again, all of which I get a great deal of enjoyment from.

Relieved to hear that your Son has made a close to full recovery from what sounded like an horrific accident. He sounds very resilient and brave to come through all of that. Glad your on the mend too. Let's hope 2024 is better for all of us. I'm currently laid up with a knee injury and my partner has her arm in cast !!. A right pair !😅

That took courage. Many would have gone under with such pressure. You and Mrs. Padawan kept the heid when keepin' the heid was essential. That must've helped the Finlay laddie push through. Not forgetting the wee lass. Thats the definition of a family. Crack on Finlay! Best Wishes from Jockland.

Craig, still the most straight talking guy I've ever met. Even after an absolute horror show of 23, matter of fact, it's been shit, no it's been really shit but I'm back now 👏. Best wishes to Finley who it sounds has the resilience of his old man. Stay safe in the hills and watch that knee. ❤

Great to see you again Craig. That's a hell of ride you've been on. As a father myself i I understand the guilt and feel your pain. I'm so glad he's OK. As for you? Stay strong. I know you do, and we all have our moments. I appreciate you showing your vulnerability and humanity in a world that doesn't like to share it. This too shall pass. Best wishes mate.

Craig, I'm so sorry to hear about all of the hell your family has gone thru this past year. I've been there, and it is the worst. But, keep that head up because youll come out better than you went in. Glad little man is doing so much better, and hope there isn't much for long-term effects. My daughter actually just asked a couple days ago where you went because she always watched your videos with me, so I'm glad to see this video when i did. We will be looking forward to seeing some new content, and talking with our favorite bushcrafter across the pond!

The hardest task for you now is to pick up a phone to the RBL or your branch of veteran service, and seek career advice/signpost to those who can offer you support ! You have been through the mill, are a capable individual, and dare I say, got your feet on the ground! Use what is out there! The veteran "Oldboys Network" could be that lifeline! Nick Goldsmith from Hidden Valley Bushcraft may know someone!

Craig, what the boy needed-when his life was held on a balance-was his mother and she was there. What his mother needed was her husband. And you were on your way. You did no wrong. As the metaphysical folk would say you did no wrong then-nor ever. I trust that this is of some comfort to you.

Glad you've come through all that and your son is okay. Good on you for getting yourself checked out. It's so important. I'm with you on the job front. I've been out of work for a while and it's proving tough. I've done extra training and hoping to find something soon. I think I may have spotted you with your drone yesterday. Wish I'd said hello but I'm not one for disturbing others when their doing their own thing. All the best and look forward to your next video.

You were actually sat on one of the new seating areas at the time. Sorry I didn't, but maybe I'll bump into you another time. I'm down there almost everyday at the moment. It's an easy walking place and works wonders for my mental wellbeing, whatever the weather and is a good alternative to the hills and mountains that surround us. I go up as much as possible but family commitments make that trick at times, so the prom is great for a daily walk.@@TheBushcraftPadawan
