Yeah he grew to be better and he is a pretty badass fighter, but he can't erase what he's done. And I don't think Montana has ever discredited Endeavor for doing awesome hero work just because of his past with his family. If anything she very much treats his hero work and his personal life as two completely separate things, which is the way to go about it

Same here. The flashback to Aizawa’s original assessment of Deku shows how far their relationship came along. Aizawa being genuinely touched that Midoriya values him as a teacher and holds affection for him was sweet. He is probably used to his students all hating him for being overly strict or harsh on them that seeing Midoriya doesn’t hold it against him has to be a huge shock.

While on the heroes' side we have Aizawa making sure Shigaraki doesn't immediately destroy everyone on the battlefield, the appearance of Gigantomachia tipped the scales greatly in the villains' favor. The fact that he alone is enough to counter almost half of the heroes in the entirety of Japan proves just how much of a monster he is.

Alright another just chaos filled episode front to back. (Splitting Shigaraki and Machia fight for a 2 parter) We’re shown the families of the characters because there’s just simply no one that isn’t affected by these giant fights whether they are aware or not. Oh and All-Might pro tip. Don’t watch news about terrorism with children. Much less Eri. Come on man, you’re a GOOD dad! (That being said this has to just be the WORST for All-Might who has to sit out this mission of what was clearly planned to go against HIM.) We’re seeing in real time how an All-Might vs Endeavor match would’ve gone down as Shigaraki just SWATS away from Endeavor’s giant fire explosions. (That being said All-Might’s OFA energy armor and energy eruptions are probably a lot more effective than the All-Might steroids. Shigaraki can’t protect his clothes like Deku and All-Might can or make giant tornadoes while he keeps up with Injured All-Might speeds) Shigaraki is LOVING this. He’s smiling ear to ear and just decides to style on the heroes. Recreating Endeavor’s start as the #1. And even saying he should’ve been looking at his phone while Endeavor fought him at the start and he chased Deku. And with the arrival of all of these Nomu, Endeavor can’t get backup from the other heroes that were gearing up to be the army against Shigaraki. And we even see the Nomu just EFFORTLESSLY killing heroes in the background even getting devoured. They are mindless like all Nomu before Hood, but they have higher specs than the Upper tiers. So they lack the independent thinking and strategizing of the High Ends. So 90% of heroes just don’t stand a chance against these beasts. So all the heroes can do is band their numbers together and hope to wear them down. And they might even find the time to backup Shigaraki with their orders! Shigaraki wants to have more fun spreading chaos so he rushes Aizawa to take him off the field. Fan or not you can’t get in the way of his fun. Gran Torino must’ve flanked around so Shigaraki didn’t notice because now he’s coming from the opposite direction as Deku. Gran Torino wants Aizawa and Manual as mobile as they can be to always have eyes on Shigaraki while also keeping them away from the Nomu. But now he has a bad angle on making it to get them out. So DEKU lunges in with Bakugo to start their team up! Gran Torino literally threw them out of the way so Deku COULDN’T act as the 9th holder. He’s outmatched and not at all ready even if it’s his destined fight. OFA at risk or not, he will NOT lose his teacher. Which I LOVE how touched Aizawa is. This student of his that had the least potential ALL the way back in season 1 now stands as his savior and to top it off, his BULLY that he teamed him up with in season 2 to punish them lunges in to support him willingly AND quoting Aizawa’s rational deception because they have nothing but respect for the man. Fantastic. Shigaraki DOES NOT care as the whole kidnapping plot to turn Bakugo’s temper and victory obsession to the villains just doesn’t hold a candle to this fun he’s having now. And gets in his FACE to tell him that while Deku is literally flung aside just trying to hold on. (Deku’s 30% is only 2/15’s of Shigaraki’s top speed near Mach 30 and 45% is roughly 1/5 right now so yeah that tracks) Endeavor and Gran Torino now have to accept well stopping these kids from fighting NOW like THIS would spell all of us dying so let’s just accept we have these two now. Gran Torino can’t stick to his plan of covering Aizawa as covering Deku is WAY more important now. Because this would just spell DISASTER otherwise. Shigaraki thinks about leaving the battlefield with Deku to get the best position to steal OFA, but AFO is so impatient as a vestige he screams from within RIP OUT HIS SOUL. Even calling for his brother as he cracks. (That 75% process still remains a mystery.) Terrifying Deku, but also in a way Shigaraki. AFO is much more parasitic as a vestige than OFA is. The most OFA has intervened is moving Deku’s fingers against round 1 Shinso. But Shigaraki recognizes IMMEDIATELY AFO wants him as a puppet for his bidding. But…he’s not here for AFO. Shigaraki inherited the empire but isn’t continuing just as the next AFO. In fact he knows better because AFO LOST. AFO didn’t just lose he lost TWICE. All-Might and AFO walked away with similar situations both times but All-Might was the undeniable winner BOTH times. So he wants to set out to create an even BETTER empire on his terms and shutting down his master’s will. Shigaraki has a giant willpower to match Deku, All-Might and AFO as willpower is the fuel of the god quirks. But he STILL wants OFA. I mean when it’s maxed out, it’s a perfect armor and weapon that only increases in strength and would fit PERFECTLY with Shigaraki’s many enhancements AND it’s a quirk booster. It would MORE than double his power by those rules alone even if they at max strength are evenly matched. So it’s still THE most important quirk to steal. Gran Torino has had enough and goes in to teach his great nephew a lesson or two. He trained All-Might to his prime level PERSONALLY and his injured level is NOTHING to what All-Might became. (Gran Torino really must’ve been as strong as Nana herself in his younger years SOMEHOW.) “You’re disgracing your grandmother, and you’re hurting my practical son!” But Shigaraki doesn’t even know what the name Shimura IS. His father didn’t keep Nana’s last name after he went into foster care. Shigaraki stands on an IMMENSE lineage with deep connection to the 7th AND 8th holder. And you can see Gran Torino just having to come to terms with how little Shigaraki knows about himself. He does EXACTLY what he warned All-Might of. If you faced him, there’s nothing you could say to help him as he was raised by AFO, and a hesitation would cause you to lose no question. And he misses his opportunity to do serious damage. (I’m going to assume he was aiming at the neck.) Bakugo’s gauntlet, Deku’s 45% just do NOTHING but push him around, but it gives Endeavor the chance to use his fire wings again to deliver the 1st major direct hit on Shigaraki THIS ENTIRE FIGHT. (Also I laugh at people LOVING his fire wings but always forgetting he does it MANY times and every time people act like it’s the 1st time it’s happened.) And there’s STILL a whole other fight happening at the same time!

Honestly, I think Shigiraki peaks at this episode. In addition to how powerful and TERRIFYING he's become, when he learns All For One wants to use him as a puppet, he tells him NO. He rejects his master's while oddly thanking him for getting him this far, and it's legitimately compelling. So much so that what happens in a couple of episodes sting even more. But we'll get to that. Right now, Shigiraki is finally the main villain he was meant to be.

Alright now there’s the Villa/Machia field to cover here. I have to split for the Machia battle because despite EVERYTHING that happens before this, THIS is the highlighted fight of the episode. Slightly minor issue with the arc. You get SO invested in one fight you don’t want to get taken to the other. And might even FORGET there’s 2 final battles happening at the same time essentially! So basically pacing. The weakness of many shows or movies with big casts that try to include everyone. MHA can’t quite escape it either. Machia has reached the surface and takes the main league members as the order of “Bring everyone so I can destroy.” Guess it doesn’t include the MLA executives as he doesn’t take Redestro, Trumpet, Geten, and has to be TOLD to take Skeptic. Dabi once again REALLY surprising me how much sway he has to stop Machia and Machia LISTENS to him. Machia walks out of the villa and Geten GETS THE HECK OUT OF THE WAY. And Mount Lady now has a new opponent as a fated battle begins! Actually on second thought that’s not at all what happens. Machia has the order to go to Shigaraki and just runs STRAIGHT INTO HER not caring if she’s in the way or NOT, and just DRAGS HER ALONG. Literally leaving a large line of debris visible for MILES as he just keeps going in a straight line. The heroes now have to break their hold on the villain and send ANYTHING they can at Machia who let’s not forget, THEY HAD NO PLAN ON HIM BEING AWAKE. They have no intel on his quirks, no intel on his strength, and now they are acting on the FLY. It’s not exactly a surprise attack, it’s just THATS how little can stop the likes of Machia. Cementoss goes BACK to get Geten from getting away, and now THEY are starting up again, and Edgeshot has found his opponent Redestro. (The generals appear to have a vested interest in his arrest as his location needed to be confirmed for some reason) So now there’s ANOTHER city destroyer on the field as Redestro is at max stress power once more and no dark shadow to stop him, as more and more heroes go to try and stop Machia! AND villains filing behind him to escape the villa operation! Machia FINALLY decides to address Mount Lady, and just…tosses her across the forest with one hand, and it’s left to Kamui Woods and Midnight trying to get him to sleep as force is ALREADY off the table. He got past the hero army so that means the cities are DEFENSELESS with all the heroes on these missions. It’s their LAST easy answer to stop him. But the League were ready. Dabi as Machia’s backup is PERFECT for dealing with Kamui Woods, and Compress adds insult to injury holding boulders from the busted Villa they are escaping with ease. And just like that, there’s no one left. Machia is unopposed. Leaving villains with NO ONE to fight is the worst case scenario as there’s nothing stopping the path of carnage. The professionals have made their stand, and in just 2 minutes, lost the worst opponents to lose. And now with the villains that escaped closing in, she has to switch to unethical strategies. She has to ask the kids to intervene. They are the last resort and we’re ALREADY here. Momo’s in charge as Midnight loved how she strategized in the AvB match. All she can do is make the order…and then turn to fight a large group of high rank Liberation warriors. (Just to bring this up, I genuinely thought the gas mask villain who jumped at Midnight was Vlad King because he has an identical build and hairstyle as the villain here. In the manga before he was colored in I thought this might be the traitor. But now that he’s colored, yeah that’s a no. Vlad King is officially off my traitor list at this juncture in the story.) Momo is now in a VERY similar spot as she was against Tokoyami in the Sports Festival. She had not made a plan and her analyzing can actually hinder her in active combat quite a bit. And she now has mere SECONDS to mobilize all 30 Class A and B members to stop Machia. But she stands her ground. And she makes literal WATER BOTTLES of tranquilizer filled to the brim and passes them out. They are out of time, and now they are the last confrontation the heroes have. They might be students of only 1 year in experience, but they stand as full fledged here and now. And THAT is where we leave off for next episode.

Deku has t be around Shigaraki and help save Eraser because Shigaraki is going to follow him wherever he goes. Midoriya and Bakugo work well together and train to stop AFO however difficult it could be. Also, Midnight...

Glad to see that Montana is ready and excited for the gradual shift of this series to My Hero Minetacademia! It's quite a drastic change in focus for the series, so I understand why many reactors are shocked and understandably not very on board at first as the series drifts away from Deku as a protagonist, but thankfully the transitional period will be much easier for Montana!

So Kenny the Vanishing Fist is a Slightly different move than Jetburn Jetburn is the Stronger Move but Vanishing Fist causes Less Strain and Deterioration on Endeavors Body Instead of Making Heat from His Quirk he uses outside existing Heat here and wields it with Hellflame, it his ability to creat Flame Projection/Projectiles So its almost a Endeavor Smash in a Way so the impact of a Special Move but I'd say not as much burden on his body. He still is weaker in the next scene but hed be much more weaker had he used a jet burn

Seeing Shigiraki "respectively" tell his master to shut up and that HE'S the big bad now is honestly so satisfying and compelling. So much so that what happens next week sucks even more . . .
