Hi Dr. V, as someone that works with special needs individuals and you sharing that you are dyslexic, I can understand the hardwork you must have put in to be where you are now! Your work is really commendable and I really appreciate it, keep going! 😊👍🏻

In India if you are dyslexic you end up doing arts but in Uk you can become a doctor and a cosmetic formulator . The difference is in the mindset of educationists in here and Uk and until that changes the onus of staying progressive and aware will lie on ourselves solely across any area .
@AngelaCelesteMay3 жыл бұрын
@@smrititikoo I completely understand what you're trying to say and I agree that it is not okay to limit people based on things like dyslexia. However, having said that, as someone who is both a degreed professional musician and music educator, as well as a PhD in clinical, organizational, and forensic psychology, I have to stand up for the Arts. If people in India better understood the brilliance, brainpower, and years of hard work that is required in order to accomplish an artistic career it would not be seen as something that a person ends up in, but rather an accomplishment as in any other area of pursuit. It sounds like there's more growth that needs to occur regarding this issue as well. Peace.

I am an INCI hacker. Just yesterday I told a loved one to return an item prescribed by a Dermatologist for someone with a chronic skin condition. It had fragrances, linalool, limonene, cinnamal etc. She concurred😍 On the other hand I decided to break the rule and got myself a Lactic acid cream with parfum, orange and lemon extract. I have been doing great up until now, I broke out all over my body as if that was not enough I’m also nursing infection as a result. Thank you so much Dr, when I started to watch your videos, I used to take notes. Now I watch loads of videos from other without taking notes & know exactly what they are on about.😘

Hi Dr V when I developed rosacea a few years ago I had no choice but to learn the terminology used in the INCI lists. I have such reactive skin and spending the time doing so has saved me from many expensive mistakes. it's not fool proof, as formulation is also important - some products despite a decent INCI list still sting/burn/irritate. Patch testing is also highly underrated. I have a 3 day patch testing process - 1st day testing on arm (eczema prone body skin), 2nd day behind the ear and the 3rd day a small dab at side of nose. If after all that there is no sign of issue I will apply to the whole face. I firmly believe a lot of skin issues can be avoided, if patch testing is done for any new product. It seems woefully rarely talked about on social media - whereas instant gratification and applying multiple new products at once prevails. For those with sensitive skin it is essential I believe to patch test. My process may be more than others need, but at least one patch test should be the norm. Focussing on how important this is in this type of platform, may prevent some issues for viewers. Just a thought. Best wishes.

I'm binge watching your poc skincare with all my products layered out for the big ingredient examination (puts dramatic sound). The worst enemy was my third used 'oil control' toner. It has alcohol, witch hazel and fragrance - I'm terrified ok. I initially paused using it to observe the cause of my minor breakout. Well, I've come to the conclusion that majority of my skincare was the problem. Thank you, from South Africa.

Many products have upwards of 12/15 different ingredients on their INCI list. How would you know which/ how many of the ingredients (in chronological order) falls into the different percentage categories?? E.g. are the first 3/4/5 ingredients those that fall into the 70% to 95% category? How many of the other ingredients fall into the lesser percentages (after the 70 - 95 percentage) how many ingredients fall into the fraction percentages???

Applying sunscreen in the morning without cleasing is only bad if you used actives the night before (retinols, exfoliating acids, Azelaic Acid, etc). In this case you need to remove the actives from your skin before going out in the sun - double cleanse, moisturize and sunscreen. If you did not use any actives you can just put your sunscreen and watch your face after you exercise. Washing your face 3 times a day is not that bad as long as you use a gentle cleanser and moisturize everytime.
