I’m sad they didn’t have her talk even a little bit about publicly apologizing to James Caan for the ankles in her speech lol

I skipped over this in my recommendations dozens of times and now I kick myself. This is the best VF video I've seen. I wasn't aware that I loved Kathy Bates so much, but she is absolutely wonderful. She spends 90% of her time talking about how wonderful other people are and seems so down to earth. This one really lifted my spirits. What a classy lady.

She's so underrated. This women is not only an amazing actress but I believe she surpasses Meryl Streep. DISCLAIMER: I love Meryl Streep. The Devil wears Prada I'm obsessed with her in that movie.

@@altar_girl A lot of actresses are much better than Streep.

Do we really have to compare them? Can’t we just enjoy both?

She speaks so highly of all the people she works with...giving them a " hefty shine" ,all the while, as a woman of such humility... Truly a class act...

God she was the absolute best in Misery. That was my first ever exposure to her. What a gorgeous class act. How can 374 people dislike this?

Well it has 77k likes which works out to 0.0048 % dislikes , I would call that a pretty good ratio .

Kathy is such a fascinating person. She still has such a sparkle in her eyes about what she does and the people she’s met that have influenced her. She’s still so humble yet confident in this. Her voice is just like a lullaby but she can switch to a madwoman on command. Such a legend and an amazing person.

Kathy Bates has this genuine honesty I find so endearing. She’s so smart and an amazing actress I could watch in just about any movie. What’s more, she is aging beautifully and naturally with grace and dignity, something that is so much more respectable than the Hollyweirdos who OD on plastic surgery.

Part of Dolores Claiborne was filmed in my hometown in Nova Scotia 11:25 . I’ve lived a big ol life since and it’s still a thrill to see her express her love of NS that way. A lot of locals were bracing themselves for “Hollywood people” and we were all pleasantly surprised. Anyone who interacted with her had nothing but wonderful things to say.❤
