He's one of the best things in all of Star Wars, it's so endearing that he still often denotes Alec as the definitive Obi-Wan in his mind, when I would easily wager for most it's been Ewan for a long time, of course no shade to Alec there.
@random220269 ай бұрын
@@JedidiahRose1 As cool as Guinness's portrayal was, Alec himself was less than impressed with the role (tbf, he did not live to see the phenomenon the series became), and could not understand the Star Wars fervor happening when Episode IV: A New Hope premiered in 1977. Ewan, on the other hand, has been reverent about the role's history, and his part in the endurance of the character. He will forever be Obi-Wan to those who love Star Wars: not a bad legacy to have! 💓💓✨✨

Trainspotting is one of those rare movies (like Shawshank Redemption) where it's so bleak you're not expecting a happy ending and preparing yourself for the worst outcome but when you do get the best resolution, it feels appreciated and actually earned and not cliche at all.

A friend of mine in France was one of the special effects creators for Trainspotting, they used a pool belonging to the Navy to film in by Glasgow. Regarding the coloured dyes that were used in it. I loved the Obi-Wan series. They should have aged him up more, though. My only critique. He should have had grey patches in his hair, at least. The series only takes place 6 years (ish) before A New Hope. His life must have been reeeeeeeeeeeally hard for those 6 years for the character to appear so much older in Episode 4. Continuity is important.

I have a theory about that: he enjoyed being a musical theatre star with the singing and the emoting; and I truly believe that he and Nicole had an affair of the heart and of the body. Then he went on to do musicals in the West End and another movie in which he sung that got panned. So he put that chapter behind him.

I genuinely don’t know why the prequels get the hate they do sometimes. The only problems I ever saw with them is Anakin and Padmes age gap and being too sad to watch the last one more than once because Padme dies. I think Padme should have been a little younger or Anakin should have been a little older for it to make a little more sense after they fast forward on his maturing. Besides that though, I love them
