Merry Christmas everyone! So what do you think, is Bethlehem worthy of being called Christmas City USA? Honestly I didn’t think so at first because I was expecting to see crazy big decor & feel like I was in Santa’s North Pole but was surprised to find that the history here was so rich & beautiful and that the subtle Christmas vibes really accented the historical aspects of the town. It ended up being better than I imagined and I am glad it wasn’t all just touristy snowmen & blow up Santa’s… this was truly wonderful. My favorite part though was definitely the Bethlehem Star in the distance!

You might add a clamp, with a magic arm and quarter twenty mount for your camera on the scooter. That way you can ride hands free and get some great traveling shots. Wait, not ride hands free.... I luv Bethlehem, but I mostly see it in the warmer weather. I noticed the ruins, but i also saw another side of the city.I am so glad that you brought us with you there the holiday season. Great video. If you're interested in more of the Lehigh Valley's holiday's celebrations, drive 12 miles east on 22 and check out the largest peace candle in the world in Easton. It's erected every holiday season over top of the soldiers and sailors monument in the city's center circle. You might enjoy their holiday customs as well. Merry Christmas

Awesome video, as always. I was surprised when you pulled out that scooter, my daughter owns the exact same one and over the last year she has had zero problems with it. She even takes with her in grocery stores or the mall, either in a shopping cart or she leaves it with mall security for safe keeping until she's done shopping. Best of all, when it was on sale it was about 50% less than comparable scooters.

LOL. I am expecting my new truck cap install on 1/7. But I have been planning a trip to Bethlehem for the weekend to do a trial run of just sleeping on rear seat of my Lightning with an Amazon extender because like you there is the security concern and being in the back would be good in some places and not in others. I also have window blackouts and some other things for the trip and future cap trips. Havent done road trip in the Lightning yet but I think it could be somthin good. Lots of electricity front and rear but also the charging challenge . My father grew up there and he used to take us kids there a few times a year to visit Grandma and the big Italian family. So I dont think he ever took us on XMAS so that was my plan to see the area in lights. Truck camping and glamping is in my future...Will see if that leads me to any further "upgrades" after a year. Vans and campers have advantages. Also I wasnt aware of the Canadian Niagra experience which really seemed like a future destination...Thanks for sharing!!!👍Lol after watching the rest of your vid I learned alot from your history and thanks again! It was a major immigrant hub and my Grandfather arrived in my best guess of about 1920 and, no English, became a ditch digger for the gas company, went back to Italy for my Grandmother and raised a successful family on the hill few blocks across from the steel mill. Good to hear you speak about family 🎄

Ok. So, as a Philadelphia Union fan I've heard of Bethlehem Steel. I'm gonna try and be constructive... there are plenty of examples of how to treat your Grade 1 Listed buildings. I live in a 2000 year old city and we have adapted Roman, Saxon, and Norman buildings while still looking after them. This is not it. That amount of rust is just going to see them collapse. They need to remove all but the most iconic metal, make statues and art of it, and use the cleaned and reinforced brick as a concert or outside bar venue. In terms of the Christmas market... that's pretty tacky. You could visit better ones in most EU towns. It's a shame because I can bet there's some germanesque town in the snowy hills somewhere in the US that would NATURALLY feel like Christmas rather than the reinforced $12 entry rubbish. Seriously, come over, rent a van, and tour Wales, Switzerland, Austria, or Bavaria 😊 Also, scooter looks dope.

Beth Steel hasnt been shut very long. 2000 yrs? Lol. Europe "discovered" America not too long ago so our "history" isnt even history in Europe. Rightly any Native Americans reading my statement are not pleased with it.They are still trying to figure it out....courts and who knows how much red tape. It is surely valuable land. Bethlehem/Allentown area took a big hit with that loss. But here in USA Bethlehem and Bethlehem Steel IS history considering how much of a role "that amount of rust" played in saving Europes behind in 2 World Wars 😯And by the way, Moscow is Europe also and contrary to popular belief we played a role in their survival also. We also have Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine (not to overlook the beautiful snowy mountains of PA)and various other northern mountain regions( Appalachians AND Rockies) that offer more traditional White Xmas "Rubbish". LOL. Yes Europe is lovely. Guess you got me goin, sorry bout that😇
