My name is Matthew and I live in a van. I lost my job due to "cut backs" from the pandemic of 2020 and decided to seriously restructure my life. I am also a single dad who needed to find a solution that would allow me to remain in my daughter's life and plan for her future. After tons of research into #vanlife, I knew it was for me.
From March 2021 until October 2021 I spent my days building out my Chevrolet Express 2500, which came to be known as "Lucky" and as of October 18, 2021 I have been living in Lucky full time.
The build was done with almost no experience on my end and I used the one incredible tool I had at my disposal - the internet - to learn what I needed to build Lucky into a very comfortable tiny home.
I have always had a bit of a passion for being in front of the camera and really enjoy capturing the world around us. This really played into how I was feeling after almost a year of working from home when I "commuted" from the bedroom to the couch. I was starting to feel extremely unhealthy, unmotivated and despondent. I HATED that, and that's not a word I like to throw around. This new lifestyle gives me opportunities I just didn't have before and I am so excited to be able to share it all with you.
I truly believe we all have the capabilities to turn our lives around, should we choose to do so - and if I can inspire you to shoot for something better then I have done a decent job and that will keep me going.
There is more to life than the consume, consume, spend, spend lifestyle I feel we have all been conditioned to follow and I just want to do the best I can for myself first and foremost. Our time is limited and I do not want to waste another second on a lifestyle that doesn't bring me joy!

I get so much enjoyment from your sense of humor and just following your 'day ins and day outs'. I would travel if I could still drive so watching your long expanses of driving through beautiful Canada brings me joy (and you do a great job with music choices). I have same egg cooker you need to Pierce the eggs so they don’t blow up that, egg cooker makes a very good poached egg also. Have had one of those types of cookers for a long time.

FYI older eggs peel harder than fresher ones. Also, the pin hole is to keep them from exploding by cooking more evenly.

I have the same egg cooker. I tap my eggs on the bottom to crack them a tiny bit. Once done I let them cool and refrigerate. Then they are much easier to peel.

SO CLOSE TO 35K!!! My couch/bed with my fold up table is so comfortable...maybe you could revisit the options with your couch/bed? Your mattress now folds in middle. Something to think about at 2AM. Hello Matthew! Secret egg cracking trick: lightly hit the big end of the raw. Egg until you hear a snap! That means the sheath of the white part has separated from the shell. Easy to peel when done. Also love the colour of your hoodie.

Glad you liked Orange Dreamsicle Reign….wasn’t sure. Been a bad week here. Was in another car with a friend and it flipped over when we got T-Boned. Neck and back injuries here. Laid up with just my iPad as my laptop and phone bit the dust in that rollover as well. I’ve never had a premonition or anything like that before but I just had this feeling since the beginning of the year that something weird was going to happen in 2024 to me. I hope this was it. Don’t want to see what could be worse.

The drought skirt will stop dirt n gravel from inpecting the paint, it will also gravel isn't good for front grill,headlamps and especially the front of radiator core , finally peircing into cooling finns,just polluting every single orifices of grace,im mechanic now 45yrs seen it all.love your content mate ❤

I plung my hard cooked eggs into an ice bath even though I do the pin hole. I found the better quality egg, ie... pasture raised vs. walmart cheapies are easier to peel. Either way, peel right away and store in a ziplock bag. 🤷‍♂️

Ever thought of using Saran wrap (cling wrap) to keep your windshield mirrors and windows clean while in transport? Cheap, easy to put on, and just throw away when you get there. I use my little egg cooker. And it does on my paperwork say that after they're cook to go ahead and put them in an ice bath. I didn't really have an ice bath so I did put it in water briefly. But then I put it in a really cold refrigerator and they did peel much easier. And I did definitely love the whole puncher thing

The pin hole is supposed to make the shells crack less when being boiled. The fresher the egg the harder it will be to peel.

I'm a huge hard boiled egg fan, those eggs cookers or anything labeled specifically for eggs suck. Next time you are in "sticks and bricks" as you say, try a proper steamer and steam them hard, 18mins is the trick at sask elevation. I can take eggs right from the store cook and peel easy that day with this method.

I tried the blueberry, but tastes a bit too chemical to me.. Yesterday i tried the regular Monster (black can with green logo) but the zero sugar version. Has a fluo green top. Similar taste, u hardly notice that it's zero sugar. But Monster is not for everyone, u got too love the taste.

Definitely a good idea to ahve reserves on hand. Was just watching "The Urban Van Life" here on YT, and they had to get home to a vet when their pregnant dog was in distress. They were, at one point, running out of diesel late at night, and 70 miles from a service station. They luckily had a jerry can, and they siphones all the fuel from their heather in order to get them there. Caution is ALWAYS a good idea

(Candy) My favorite fattening treat is Haz en Daz coffee ice cream!! ❤ hugs to Penny. LoL glasses fog! They have a spray for that for eye glasses.. it’s called: “CAT CRAP”!
