Those roaming ponies are so beautiful! What a place - the cottages, the history - makes for interesting walks which is perfect❤ Thank you for sharing this.

Thanks Sharon- we absolutely agree. We weren't sure what to expect from Dartmoor, but it absolutely blew us away with its rugged beauty. There were many aspects of it that reminded us of home in the Dales, but the wild ponies really were something special. Thanks for the comment👍

What a great adventure you're having, looks like an amazing part of the country. Never been but considering it now. You should get sponsored by the tourist board 😂! Looking forward to next week's video already😊

Great vlog, looks a beautiful area. Looking forward to seeing your Cornwall section as we plan to be there in June. One thing id love to see is a bit more of your van living - cooking, household tasks etc. I know its probably tricky to film in a small van but its one of my favourite things about vanning, the everyday stuff!

Thanks for this lovely comment. We are slowly evolving in our KZbin confidence and giving a bit more of ourselves to camera is one of our goals for this year. We think that we may focus on a more vloggy realtime style when we do our summer roadtrip to Europe. It's not an easy thing to do for two pretty shy people- but we will give it a go! I guess we just lack the confidence that anyone would be interested in our day-to-day goings on😂😂😂

So lovely to see the places I visit regularly through someone else’s eyes 👀 isn’t it just fabulous 😊 the villages - pubs - ponies not forgetting cows and sheep 🐑 and then the coast 😊 I love it and so glad u r enjoying the trip 😉🚐 best time to come 👍🏻 and the roads 😂 u know there getting narrow when the grass is in the middle 💚

You live in a beautiful part of the country. We loved Dartmoor as it reminded us of home with such pretty little villages (and great pubs) wow we have found some narrow lanes 😵💫 but at least they are not lined with dry stone wall 🤣

The one glass of cider nearly finished Richard off 🤣 it was beautiful- Dartmoor was very much like Barden Moor.

Fabulous vlog as ever. I love places like this out of season when you can still enjoy some peace and quiet. Thank you again. Have a great week and safe travels ❤❤.

Many thanks Alan- we are having a great time and loving the freedom to travel in the off season. The weather might not have the heat of the summer, but the places we are finding are quite spectacular. We are also grateful for the off season pricing structure at many campsites😉

Hi Richard and Jackie, Hope cove is lovely, I was there at Easter last year with the family. There is a great walk across the cliffs from Hope cove to Bentham beach you might want to try next time you are down that way. SCO.

Marvellous, I'm an Agatha Christie fan and look forward to going to Burgh Island. You had a fabulous time. The campsite is one for the list. We too would visit off season. Enjoy Cornwall 😄🚐❤️ xx
@earlyretirementwanderlust9 ай бұрын
I didn’t realise Burgh Island had any thing to do with Agatha Christie 😳 it was beautiful and fun being one of the first across just as low tide hit. Devon was lovely ☺️ 🚐
@janetbowen78549 ай бұрын
@@earlyretirementwanderlust Agatha Christie spent time there in a small cottage overlooking the beach, I think you filmed it. Evil Under The Sun with David Suchet and Hugh Fraser was filmed on Burgh Island. The tractor bus (my name for it) features in the film. I can't wait to go there for the day. The hotel is art deco, but probably very expensive, and not dog friendly. 🚐😄❤️

Do try Noss Mayo, you are already quite close to it, a real hidden treasure. Forget google maps in the south west, it’s bad news in parts of south Devon it just creates jams, paper maps with a larger vehicle is my recommendation;- old school but keeps you out of trouble.
@earlyretirementwanderlust9 ай бұрын
Thanks for this comment David. You are not wrong about Google maps...and somehow particularly in Devon. Can only imagine what it is like in the summer months. As we said, we are quite used to narrow lanes in the Dales, but this was something else! Sometimes old school really is the best option👍
