I guess April storms are expected up here. I am so new to it I wasn't expecting them to be so bad though. I have managed to make a temporary repair. See how long it lasts. I really like getting out in the water. I am hoping the temperature rises a bit soon though 💜xx

Its never the event that happens that is the problem, its how we deal with them, and like you say things can go wrong but this time your already noticing your a lot calmer about how your dealing with events a lot better than before. So give yourself some praise as its only been a few weeks , your still finding yourself which takes a life time. It's never about the end its about enjoying the journey. you might have had a rubbish week and felt it ,but actually your overcome and got things done and carried on. so you have achieved more than you think.

We feel your uphill challenge of life Suz. You are doing great and despite all these things that get thrown at you, wind, rain, storms, awning and van issues, you still bounce back. The April forecast still looks fairly changeable and hopefully the sun will shine and help you get dried our soon. Hope the weather improves we definitely deserve a good summer after such a wet and miserable winter x you are doing so well it’s early days and as you have realised yourself you have already grown and dealt with things that you probably didn’t think you could handle x they say adversity introduces you to your hidden capabilities and you are much more capable and resilient than you think you are. It’s normal to wobble and have a cry we all do x hope the following week is much better and less stormy x and yes duct tape, cable ties and wd40 are part of my independent womans survival kit for all sorts of diy situations x

Get a pallet to put in between van and awning to keep you out of the mud put a little carpet for dogs to use so they don’t hurt themselves.

Especially with the driving on your own ❤ have you thought of cat litter wood pellets to chuck down on the ground between your awning and the van? You will be fine. Just need one of those long, wide awning straps to hold everything down in the wind. Home bargains, not sell duck tape. Need to venture out more, Inverness is not far, just up the A9, all the shops you need. A hot tip, to a hot place in Inverness, visit the (free) Botanical gardens, easy to park, great cafe, warm indoor gardens to wander around and a short walk up the river Ness islands into town.

When you said about 7 weeks and 4 weeks I was really surprised, I only came across you when you were arriving at the camp site. Please don't put yourself down as you have had so little time to deal with? I know not, there is a saying that goes whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I think that's a bit simplistic and binary for me, but, the person/s who said the adversity might affect your mental heath maybe right it might be just what you need to grow stronger.
