Madrid and the surrounding area looked really interesting. But like London it’s all hussle and bustle. Nice to dip in and experience but great to also escape from. I think you could see almost relief from you that you’d made it south. Easier pace, warmer weather, adventures at your leisure. Sounds ace 👍

Cities can be very tiring, you end up walking a lot further than you realise. Lovely architecture though. I might be wrong, but I think you like tapas😂

In Madrid you had a grey coat (like mine...) so the city is confirmed to be quite cold.
