Dom - it is so very good to see your smile again. Life has ups and downs and, I feel, it is we who owe you the apology. I am sorry if your relationship with us made things harder to figure out those ups and downs between you and Marie. I had a monster grin when you said you are all safe and healthy, am so very proud of Marie for working through her PhD, and got teary eyes knowing you were letting us in to the most private part of your lives. I am also proud of you for taking care of yourself and stepping away when it was necessary. It is exciting to see what you have in store for us...and somehow, you really did make me feel like I was in the room with you. Well done. 💙

Could you explain to me why I owe an apology? Or who is we? And why would anyone owe an apology? I don‘t really understand.
@JeccaSee2 жыл бұрын
@@fishroro9719 thank you for bringing my attention back to my comment. I originally typed from my heart trying to quickly convey my thoughts without going on for too long. Something I had hoped was obvious is that this is the internet and I don't ~ actually ~ speak for everyone when saying "we"... however I made an assumption I was not the only one with the thoughts of pity for those who have chosen to share their lives through KZbin and thousands of strangers. Fish Roro, I don't know you or your internet presence, so I will not assume, but ask - have you ever been in an intimate relationship that is having troubles and have to ask yourselves "but what will our viewers think?" It is that question, which had to have gone through both Dom and Marie's mind at least once is why I apologized. Do I think I did any personal harm to either of them, no. But by choosing to step away from social media Dom and Marie didn't personally harm any of us either...so they don't owe us an apology. That message was already being conveyed to Dom through other comments so I didn't feel the need to repeat it. In the same vein - in the sense if expediency I also used the word "proud" incorrectly. Pride in someone indicates a sense of ownership in their accomplishments. I was not personally responsible for Marie's amazing work on her doctorate program, nor on Dom's choice to protect his mental health and step away from social media. The word I should have used in my original post is "impressed" since I am sincerely impressed with both Dom and Marie for being the amazingly healthy and strong humans they are, in both body and spirit. Thank you for asking a sincere question and giving me an opportunity to better express my thoughts.

Awh Dom, what a difficult, heartfelt video. KZbin is such a strange form of entertainment where creators are so exposed, sharing so much of themselves. It is so difficult to go through the life chapters you and Marie went through, and are going through, and to have the world watching has to be so much added pressure. Please continue to be kind to yourself and return on your own terms in your own time. Be well. Be happy.

Dom my friend can I just say something about what you said about people letting you know what they think of your new videos and if they don't like it then you would figure out what else you can do. Do it for YOU. The thing with any kind of art whether it's visual, digital, writing etc, it's YOUR representation of the things YOU like to see. It's subjective.
