This small house has been called the first postmodern building and it has been the inspiration to thousands of designs. The facade is unique due to some details as the asymmetrical chimney and the unique facade. It was built in Chestnut Hill, PA, in 1964 and designed by Architect Robert Venturi. This is a masterpiece.

Actually, many things Modernism is accused of, or reduced to aren't true. That was the problem with the Postmoderns' reductionism. For example, when the building envelope was separated or liberated from the structure the idea was that it could become a real facade, meaning that you could do what you liked with it, which at times resembled abstract paintings, as in Corb's La Tourette screens or ....In fact, arguably Modern architecture has generated the largest variety of facades ever. It has been sad and amusing to have witnessed how comical Posmodern became with its claim to easy meaning and variety, using historicism.

yep would you say post modernism is more complex compared to modernism because that is the purpose to escape from modernist schemes and rules ?

It looks so small from the outside, and you'd think that there wouldn't be much too it, but when the video goes to the inside of the house, everything just bedazzled and amuses me, and it got me thinking, "how did he even come up with something like that??

You said it right, it definitely looks like a Charles drying house. It is a sad escape from the beloved modernism.
