Admittedly it could be the torque adapter but seeing as how my Pittsburgh is within 1 ft lb on average, and the Vanpo is within about 4ftlbs, I’m gonna say it’s the Vanpos problem.

It's not really possible to measure one thing with another thing that doesn't have better accuracy. If the torque wrenches are +/- 3-4% accurate and the torque adapter is +/- 3-4% accurate, at 100 pounds, that means that any measurement between 92 pounds at 108 pounds is within tolerance. Maybe if you took more pulls from each wrench at each torque settings and looked at the distribution and compared that it would be a little meaningful. At the 100 pounds your distribution was from 95.4 pounds to 98.9 pounds resulting in a range of 4.2 pounds. The Vanpo at 101 pounds had a distribution from 95.7 pounds to 98.9 pounds resulting in a range of 3.2 pounds. Had you taken enough samples to be statistically significant and comparing the distributions we may have learned a little, but unfortunately nothing can be learned from your experimental data. Your other observations about the product offers some value. Thanks for the attempt, anyway.

Nice Reveiw it’s too bad it is as inaccurate as it is i use a older Sears Craftsman Digitork Wrench it’s very simple without any reverse ratcheting or any other extras back in the hey day of Sears for basic Maintenance and all Sears would take mine in due to it being a Craftsman brand and send it out for Calibration for no charge once a year i did that 3 or 4 times and i do keep it safe in a Blowmolded case i would replace it with a new one with some features. but i don’t think this will be the one i’ll choose as. i prefer to have some more Accuracy when doing Engine rebuilds
