Vanquest Dendrite EDC Pack Tactical or Practical?

I'm glad that "fanny packs" are coming back into use. Many of us however continued to use them. I wore it like a sling bag. For me, it goes back to my military days when I didn't want items in my front pockets, especially keys and loose change. A wallet and a handkerchief in a back pocket was okay. Nothing worse than an instructor speaking and jiggling the keys or change in a front pocket. I was an instructor for EMTs, CPR and Buddy Care/Survival. I was also called upon to do speeches at NCO Leadership Schools and at the NCO Academy. I still don't like to carry anything but my wallet in a back pocket. Everything else, EDC items, go into a backpack or a small EDC pouch. I like this Vanquest Dendrite in the dark camo. When I'm on the trail, usually to a bushcraft camp site, I wear an Emerson chest pack with easy access to my Ruger and extra mags, tools pretty much similar to yours, however, my Esee Izula is scout mounted on the front of the pack. Presently I am using a OneTigris EDC pouch but it's a hand carry (no straps).

Great video. I think this pack is designed for casual EDC. I wouldn't want all that gear in front of my gun...I want a quick draw. It's driving me nuts trying to find a good fanny pack for quick-draw CCW carry. I have the ComforTac and hate it...the stitching is poor and the included holster is poorly designed. I have a Bianchi and it's better, but I can't find it anymore and I need a new one. The DeSantis Gunny II has a slow zipper. The Helikon looks good but again, slow zipper. I'll check out the dendrite in more detail. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I want to fit a G43 and a G30s. My waist size is 39 US inches.

Do they make one of these with more sturdy belt loops? I want a CC Fanny pack but wanna thread a leather belt through it. Not some canvas strap with a plastic clip.

Looks like a nice option. One thing that is a deal breaker for me is that logo tag on the front...that sticks out like a beacon that is way out of place. Black multicam and that tag is a total no match imo... Vanquest quality speaks for itself though. Color match it to the zipper backing material to help overall presentation.

Interesting product and I see a little value in having some of your gear in front of you but not enough to spend the money. Also, it’s not 100% nylon. Unfortunately, it’s 400-D nylon-poly weave😑
