Summary : This is the NEXT Generation of IBEX pack from Vanquest and what we are seeing here are some profound changes which have made this pack better in just about every single way. That’s not to say that there isn’t room for improvement because I do have some suggestions to make.
A few months back, you may have noticed a rush of reviews on this backpack but instead of rushing to publish a video to youtube I have been testing this product out in every sort of situation possible and after many months I am ready to share my thoughts. So what you have here is a very comprehensive review.

Like after watching this video I bought an iced 35 in multicam black and I take it to work everyday I work in construction and I love this pack I have zero coplaints and I even found a way to make it stand on its own by using the ridged waist belt to prop it it. It's a great pack very comfortable to wear and carry I had to move the shoulder harness all the way down and it fits perfect

So glad you reviewed this one. Been comparing it to the Savotta Jakari. Love Multicam black so it caught my eye. Couldnt agree more that it needs more Molle.. so close to exactly what I want but i need to be able to maximize its weight bearing awesomeness and add all my pouches to the outside. Thanks Luke!

Another great review, thanks Luke. I have destroyed lightweight packs in the past (I think I am hard on my gear), so I will only use mil-spec now. After the Army (Australian) I was keen to get into the lighter civilian gear, but the one area I will cop the weight penalty for a more rugged, hard-wearing item is my pack; they really do last so much longer!

A great review Luke. I've tried several 35 L and 40 L packs and was very disappointed with them. The padding on the shoulder straps and waist belt were almost noexistent, the lumber pad pitifuI and they were not adjustable I just got rid of them. Now this pack has what the others do not have and I love it. I may give this one a try. Thanks Luke.

Luke another great review. What I really like about your reviews is that unlike many other channels you actually take the products outdoors and “actually” test it in the field in real world conditions. So much better than the desk top reviews with hypothetical shtf scenarios. Also, it’s great with the timing of your reviews as I’m tired of literally 15 reviews being posted within 24 hours of each other. The latest olight release was a great example, then there’s the battle box reviews etc. It’s kind of sad as I like those channels generally but it’s becoming a bit too much “me too samey”. I know it’s hard to come up with original content but yourself, Lord Hummungus, Canadian Prepper and a few others manage it. Keep up the great work and hope your daughter has settled into military life well.

Like I would to see review of the right way to load a pack I'm sure you know some truck to make packs easier to carry you always do great reviews and I just ordered the ones 35 in multicam black I can't wait to get it the weight is not an issue for me as I squat and deadlier 405lbs every week and I carry a 35lb pack everyday to work.

Great review Luke I have this pack and it is one of my favorite packs of all time. So I would keep this version Ibex 35 the the only thing I would change is replace the odd MOLLE side panels with Laser MOLLE. That being said I would like to see an ultralight version of this pack. Using 220 Denier Nylon throughout and 310 Denier nylon on the bottom panel. Replace the odd MOLLE on the Side with laser MOLLE.

Well like always thats a bit out of my price range for a pack, but man thats a nige one. Honest review like always luke. I myself hate having bage fall backwards on me, would love to see a new rendition of it with more of sqaure butt. where they added the gear straps on the bottom molle or pals could be added on there aswell for even more possibilitys. I think if you went hammock camping you could get maybe 2-3 days out of that bag in warmer seasons, not so much in winter.

My first thought, in the beginning, was that it looked high up on your back and the top pockets were very high behind your head so hearing you say at the end it rolls when trying to stand it up did not surprise me. But Im sure the height is what gives it the stability and feel of the weight loss you mentioned you felt after putting it on. Personally, especially now with your review, I would probably purchase a lighter and less expensive backpack for a day hike. I don't take much on day hikes as it is.

I can't wait to get this pack as a long time bodybuilder who can't train because the gyms are all closed I need this to be as heavy as possible. Nutrient 32 is pretty heavy maybe 35 or 38lbs but it's still not have enough for me. It is a great etc bag though.

This pack, that Finnish Bed role, a 4lb folding Midland backpacker shot gun, your quilt, and a true speck hat. Then your perfect. I ordered one today.

Check the older corpsman ILBE pack in marpat. It is around 150$ on ebay. IMHO best US military pack for hiking. It is 35 liters and it has so much molle webbing that you can add up to 15 liters more with pouches

I've been thinking about those side pouches and what I'd put in them. I'd use one to carry my trail mix and the other to carry the GPS unit. What are the things you'd want on your hip for IMMEDIATE or constant access?

Yeah, unless they were built in the USA I would sooner just stick with Eberlestock who have more options, plus their pals webbing is standard size for molle pouches. Especially considering the costs are about the same andthey make theirs in Taiwan and Vietnam and Eberlestock has theirs built in Vietnam as well.

Another great review! Thanks for your sacrifice in wearing that thing long enough to give that thorough of a review. Sorry you will never get that time back, LOL. I really don't think "Molly webbing" is an appropriate term for what looks like a drunken designer with a pair of scissors trying to create a "unique/useless design". They need to check their "military grade" classification - no mil spec I've ever seen. Just saying - "Drag handle" - the empty 5# bag from the closet, maybe. Keep up the good work! I'll add this to my "Do not purchase list".

Given that the pack is already heavy and when adding external pouches you are adding even more layers of nylon (more weight) I would just get a bigger pack rather than add pouches.
