Might be nice to get a test done on them, they do have one the mini for under 1,000. I always thought the tents came with the stove one of the reasons they were so expensive. Not hiking tent, lot to set up. Don't think it is something many would buy here. Though seen a lot of reviews from Canada.

I use only high quality hoses from Propane Depot, they are not the rubber plastic stiff hoses that need the filter, very flexible even in the cold and no need from the filter. More money but you pay for the quality!

Please! I have been looking at these tents for several years now and am by no means financially well off, so would definitely love for you to do a review of the Russian bear tents and stoves. The fact that they are so expensive makes it such a gamble and you would be someone I would trust to give a fair and honest review before gambling on their product. Personally I love the look of their camo tents.

I dont get it. Why not just stay inside of the vehicle? I did so (in an old miinivan) for 3 years. never cooked a meal in it, never had to pay for a meal I ate lunch at a church, supper at the SA mission, breakfast was cereal and fruit, courtesy of the Food Bank and Food stamps. Why cough up 1000 $ plus on all that gear? I had just $1000 in the entire van, 2013-16. I lived on the $80 per week sales of my plasma and saved up my college loans.I used that money to get my first boarding house started. I used the profit from the first one to open another one, then another and now I clear 50k per year from those 3 properties.

I've had luck with OneTigris but after your reviews I doubt I'll buy anymore of their stuff and I was thinking of getting the Wild Rocket Pack... not going to happen now! that & my recent experience with scAmazon took a month to ship my stuff... and some items are NOT sold by the Manufacturer but by an alphabet soup name... counterfeit... I think one of the reasons I enjoy watching you is because you remind me of my dad not a version of him that I’d like to remember. Really enjoy your stories. Though does Susie know what you did to get with girls? Have littles now so can’t really get out so this is the next best thing. Would prefer cheap - mid range gear to review but my main issue is that we have the chronic heat and humidity here. It’d be like camping in Florida. So reviewing stuff for my climate doesn’t really match with yours.

Maybe it's not so important that it's quartz stone/pebble, but that it's white and easy visible against green moss... which reminds me of a story of Hansel and Gretel where they were leaving white pebbles to mark their way so that they could return to their house after they were left alone in the forest. Maybe some other hitchhiker was using that method to mark a path.

What in the what did I just watch? You test tents in the rain but don't sleep in them? Instead, you stay in your truck with a heater? Might as well just pitch them in your backyard and sleep in your house. What would be impressive would be building a fire and keeping it going in the rain. Also...if you're going to make an instant breakfast in a pouch, why not just use a packet of instant coffee?
