Vans Europe Presents: Neighbours

Neighbours project is the first time Vans teams from Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia come together, to get to know each other and film. Except for a fair amount of Eastern European skateboarding the edit shows an animated story of Neighbours, who collaborate on building a quarter pipe. Common goals unite people and it’s no different this time. Throughout the project Vans team riders from neighbouring countries become friends and create magic together.

Yeah I started in 1990, right at the cusp of new school and old school boards. My first skateboard was a fishtail with no nose and huge wheels tight ass trucks , a year later I’m begging my Dad to drive me two towns over in Florida, to get me a ‘new school’ board. Ha, alien workshop, the light blue one. Think I had about 52-53 mm wheels. The loosest trucks ever. Think it was around the same time I started stealing my Dads pants to wear to school because they were 8 sizes too big. Amazing where it’s gone in this time . I’ve met some legends Rodney Mullen, Tony hawk came to my town, this was before the internet or thps, so no one cared the flip and sorry team came to my small ass town . Gosh, crazy how much all those guys were all been able to live off this Art form, don’t think anyone could predict this all happening.

i finally started skating my year old halfcabs i have been saving, the white daniel johnston x nocomply shoe, i previously was skating es accel ogs as my first and let me tell you no offense to es but man Vans makes my skating way more fun which leads to more commitment, confidence, and creativity. Im super thankful and even though i still have many other shoes in my closet im saving to try on to find my fit such as converse lopez, quartersnack sbs and dc lynx ogs i want to tell Vans thank you. So far im repping yall hard
