Our Journey! How did we get here?
In the winter of 2019 we moved in to our self built van full time to begin living, working and travelling Canada. We quickly fell in love with chasing our dreams of adventuring off the beaten path, living off grid and being self sustaining. We drove our van thousands of miles through various countries-Canada, USA, Mexico & Guatemala. All of which we documented here on our channel, be sure to check that out! After many years on the open road we found ourselves 15 acres of remote woods on the East Coast of Canada where we are building a homestead and renovating our fully off the grid cabin. We are diving into this chapter of our lives in no experience, we're so happy we can bring you all along as we learn to do it all with our own two hands. But one thing I would mention is that when you made your delicious tofu bowl, the correct term is Asian instead of Oriental. the arch is still up in 2020 ! in 1984, they were already talking about collapsing of the rock formation. I visited that place. The 'Gaspésie' is so intense and fun to visit !

For people who drive A LOT and prefer remote places, I HIGHLY recommend carrying a 12V plug in air compressor and a couple cans of Fix-A-Flat. They have gotten me out of trouble and helped others countless times. A compressor made for larger truck tires is recommended since you have larger tires. Most off road out fitters will have one. A jump pack/battery is a good idea. I love the jump battery/air compressor combos. Some have built in work lights, USB ports, 12VDC and 110VAC outlets, jumper cables and air inflators all built in. But, do your research. I have been disappointing by how poorly some will hold a charge. A good one will save the day and turn a stress full situation into a 5 minute fix.

Ladies, I love your happy disposition. Good luck with Bella. My Std Pòodle cut her pad in 1977, and the vet said he can't put stitches there. He also said, the pad grows from the leg area to the toe ie back to front. It took ages, but did eventually heal. Good luck Bella girl. Maybe look into having an ARB Single compressor (CKMA12) installed on the van. It would be great for anything you might need air for and perfect for keeping the tires inflated. Most likely there would be enough room under the hood to ave it mounted so it is always there and ready when you need it, especially on some of the back roads you are traveling.

Love watching you two explore Canada. My husband and I have always wanted to go to Canada to camp, hike, cross country ski, and go fishing in the outdoors. I do speak French so that would be helpful in Quebec. We live in Michigan, and yes there is a lot to do and explore here, especially in our upper peninsula. But after watching your videos I see there is so much more to seek. But for now we will have to stay until this lock down is over. Good shots of the shore line. Take care.

Your channel has become one of my faves! I love that your still traveling, exploring your “backyard” all while discovering places you’ve never been. Best of all you take us all along for the journey! Besides the previously mentioned 12volt air compressor, step up to a combination unit that also acts as a jump battery for the purpose of jump starting your van. These units can also provide USB power, 110v (USA) or whatever normal house power is in Canada. They will also have an emergency light. It’s just a great multi-use tool to have on hand. Do make sure it will pimp your tires up to their required pressure! Also, and this is actually more important, buy a can or two of a product called “Fix a Flat” or “Green Slime”. I’m sure there are other brands, but it’s an aerosol can of tire sealant that will Both Seal and inflate your tire. You need two because of the large van tires, but the key to these is they’ll get you out of a bad spot in a hurry. I carry a can when I’m towing my race car trailer and it’s saved my butt more than once, allowing me to tow down the highway to safety, find a tire shop and get a repair done. Driving on a really low tire will damage the sidewall very quickly, the Fix a Flat stuff keeps that from happening. Give my best to Bella! Safe travels and see ya next week!
