I don't think Rapunzel calling Chime and Crown sisters is a translation error. She means it in a religious way. Like how monks are called brother, nuns are called sister. I don't know it this is true but I heard that in early versions of Nikke Rapunzel called the commander brother.

In Korean, Scarlet is called Hongryeon and it is based on a Korean folklore about 2 sisters named Hongryeon and Janghwa (maybe I don’t need to tell you who is Janghwa in Nikke 😂, I saw you were traumatized by the event)
