The item you were wondering what it was is a chair riser. You put them under each chair leg to make it slightly higher.

How about a cat being in there? When you were outside and the chair was moving slightly it could have been a cat treading the folded beige cover to make itself a bed. When one of you entered the cat leapt off away from you, cats have a lot of power in their hind legs so that could move the chair. The cat could have then hid under the cupboards. The only problem with this theory is that no cat was seen there on camera, and also it doesn't explain the open cupboard door bit. Oh well, it was just a thought.

Now that you know the chair had to be against the door the whole time to hold it in the open position, it looks like the only thing left is maybe the right side of the chair slid in toward the left folding the chair together a few inches. You would need to know if the chair is in the fully unfolded position. What would have caused it to start folding, who knows. If it had a spring to assist folding, that may explained part of it. I don't know if they even make them with a spring.

@@SurfFishandBlueChips I did think that too but there is no spring mechanism to fold it. It’s manual and takes some force to do it. The only explanation is the back wheels moved but what moved it. God knows 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've mentioned last time I tried to align your shots of the chair from the beginning of the video and from the end to see how exactly it moved...it's tricky to do and small movements can't be reliable judged, but the chair absolutely moved a fair bit, without question. I've uploaded a short video showing my two attempts on my channel if you don't mind (if you do, I'll remove it ASAP of course), so anyone can see by themselves: watch?v=9upxlncFx7Y I have to say I'm very impressed by how much effort you clearly spent on debunking yourselves.
