I think the outgoing Mercurial is a very mature incarnation of its concept the epitome of its design execution . To be honest this one felt like an unnecessary change The ghosted however, is a slow burn, It looked gimmicky at first but boy how I admire how well engineered that boot is

I have both boots (vapors and .1)and I prefer the vapors for the following reasons. They have a better fit overall through the entire foot. The lockdown is better as the laces come lower down. The heel padding on the ghosted is so large that it pushes the heel too forward causing spacing. Therefore you have to really tighten the laces limiting blood flow to the forefoot. Also the rubber strap around the top of the foot is super tights and limiting. It almost feels like they took the + and added laces without putting any thought into it. The ghosted are lighter however and they do keep you on your toes more often. The traction was smilies on both, no issues. It’s good to also point out, the ghosted upper doesn’t breathe, like the vapors do. It’s like wrapping the foot in a plastic bag and playing for 90 mins. Which may help on a wet day, but on a really hot day, it’ll get hot in there. Ask me specific questions and I’ll do my best to answer

@@ezek1oDOC I wouldn’t get them. The part of the boot which sits just under the ankle ball really rubs into it causing me pain. No issue at all with the mercurials. Let me know if you have any other questions. The mercurials are more comfortable overall.

If you're looking for an AG boot, how does that change things? X Ghosted appears to have a standard AG soleplate that's the same on the Copa and Predator. No carbon fibre and I'm guessing adds weight? Whereas the AG-Pro that's showing for the 14 looks to be a significant change from the 13. Would be interested to know how it performs.

For me it’s going to be the X ghosted .1 ‘s, because it’s lighter and has a much more affordable price. For the fit i feel like going for half a size higher is gonna be fine. But I also like the Vapor 14, because it has better design and a bit more breathing space. But other than that I love both the boots so I could go either way 🤷‍♂️ PS.
