Grew up in Mississippi, we had a sweet potato patch....loves to visit home in Mississippi...beautiful state...loves sweet potatoes..My favorite is bake or fried sweet potato fries..

I agree that Vardaman and the surrounding area is SP Capital A few years back when hay prices were sky high and hard to find my uncle decided to feed his cows sweet potatoes Turns out cows really do love sweet potatoes Ever morning we would head over to Vardaman to get a pick up load to feed about 40 head of cattle Good times in MS

Why is a racist's name still the name of the city??? Can't someone change it? And why anybody would want to name their business or any place with the word "Vardaman" in it is ridiculous, to me.

I’m not big on renaming things but James Vardaman had zero redeeming qualities whatsoever.
