hi what part of the month did you go? if we went mid april i saw a video where it was overcast the whole time but looks pretty clear in yourse? also think there's enough to do there with middle/elementary schoolkids?

we were here April15-17 and it was absolutely beautiful! Lake como might be a harder town for youngsters but it really depends on what they are into. There are a few amazing gardens, there is a house here that was used to Film scenes from Star Wars, you have boat rides, and plane rides. the scenery is amazing as well as the food...if they are adventurous eaters this town is gold.
