I'm so happy you did a deck profile on my Boy. I can't wait to update my deck once Set 5 drops. One thing I find funny is Varga keeps being underestimated and later on he becomes a powerful deck. Varga is a force to be reckon with yeah he can be beaten but expert Varga players can find ways around it to achieve victory.

So I was watching this video due to getting all my pieces for the deck with the release of set 5 and wanted to ask if you'll be making any updated deck profiles for the Destined One units since they all got new support?

Yeah it's a good card so you could still definitely play it, but space got tight thanks to Storm Slasher and Summit Flare

@godsman00 Fair enough. Tbh, I'd personally opt out of Summit Flare. It's nice, but the deck already has so much draw power that it might not be needed. Maybe I'm wrong, though XD

​@@dragonwriterarts summit Flare is actual deck thinning. Boulder axe is just more random draws. The one you get from the rideline is enough.

how does this deck perform against rezael vita?

@@DarkSin-k5b it's decent. Vita is the better deck Overall, but Varga edges it out in how explosive its T4 is. That and the threat of a T3 DS going 2nd for big clapback. One problem is that the field wipe doesn't really hurt Vita, and the deck accrues a lot of defense including the DS so Varga finds Vita to be a bit of a counter. That said, if you play with urgency and see crits on your VG swing you can catch them in a bad spot prior to them riding into Vita himself. However the stability and recursion of Vita, not to mention it's strong early game, makes it a hard match for Varga

Aside feom Bolbamine being any boost, why arent we running at least 1 or 2 copies of Dragon Monk Gojo? It doesnt have any conflictions being a Retire to CC so it should never go to waste

Gojo is garbage because it has the issue of needing to hit. It’s a walking pg and the first Varga swing will most likely get pg’d. Cc is something Varga wants but because all options require a hit in DE, there really isn’t a great reason to run them.

Gojo needs the attacker to hit as it's boosting, so once it is guarded, Gojo is a dead card. Even deader if rakshasa has to retire backrow or decks like Nui or Doji remove him anyway. Ethan is better. Even then, you're better off using cards with more consistent value + just being smart with resources. Varga isn't exactly desperate for CC either. It would just push an already solid deck over the top if it did get a good one.

You can play it. It 'works better', it just comes with the risk of you needing to use og Varga turn 3 and clashes with divine skill if checked first attack. That said, 2 twin drive attacks for free is nothing to scoff at. And the high roll check with DS is nuts. Generic OTs however are the more consistent route, so it's up to you imo.

It's a tad inconsistent with Varga still, so I'd still recommend Idosfaro or Nightsky

If i may ask, why don’t impale horn instead of summit flare which you can’t activate on turn three and thus not adding anything?

@@tommasolecce4016 You can use it T3, especially since it can even add Rakshasa as those 2 cards don't have the same name. Both cards are break evens but Summit Flare edges out in its ability to fetch important G3s and have good shield to boot

I don't think the DZ-BT05 Vargas Rakshasha support is needed *just used the support from DZ-BT04* (any cards from previous set until Set 4) for Varga Rakshasha 😂😅 my decklist just replace Varga persona ride with Varga Rakshasha lol and it still stronk lmao 😆😂 varga rideline and energy generator crest 4 Varga Rakshasha 3 Twin Pulsive Dragon 3 Shuura 4 Farhat (my playstyle revolves around draws abilities) 3 Boulder Axe Dragon 3 Sentinel PG 4 Midhat (often discard a lot of g1 in the early game for riding) 4 Impale Horn Dragon 4 Rokusei 1 Radiance Caliburn (Regalis) 1 Elementaria Sanctitude (blitz pg)
