I always wanted to be an actor / dancer/ film maker, didn't get an opportunity back then, probably I wasn't running a favorable dasha period. Now at the age of 34 (almost 35) , married and with a child ,it's pretty difficult to enter Bollywood as an actor, especially with no prior experience. Born in 1984, I'm one of those lucky ones to have 5 exalted planets in the chart (if you consider Rahu and Ketu's exaltation signs as Taurus and Scorpio) . Saturn in Libra, Venus in Pisces , And Sun in Aries (but in gandanta)- that makes Vargottama Sun as well 😊. With Jupiter in mooltrikon Sagittarius, and Mars in own sign Scorpio. I think 1984 was the year with lots of planets at their exaltation points. But after research, and experiencing how exalted planets behave ,I came to a conclusion (and I could be wrong ) that exalted planets can make the person cling towards spirituality, more than mundane life.

That would be interesting - my question being if someone has Venus/Saturn conjunct 2 degrees in Aries (9th house) and in D-9 Venus/Saturn in Aries but in later degrees 23/18 degrees respectively also in 9th house, is this extra powerful due to both charts Leo is Lagna and these two planets are in the same sign Aries but different degrees in D-9. Madam if a planet is in starting degree in a movable sign it is written that the planet lost its strength because of bad awastha ,,and if a planet is in vargothama it is said the planet is strong so how to understand this contradiction? For example Venus in cancer asc 0:16 degree near to asc degree which is 01:00 degree which is both pushkara bhaga and vargothama but awasta is bad how to decipher a result pls guide

The awasthas have been over-emphasised and need to be assessed properly. Vargottama planet is always strong - only you have to watch for gandnata in Aries/ Pisces.

Dear Komilla Sutton, I have three vargotamas in my chart: Sun, Mercury and the nodes, Rahu/Ketu. Two of them are also gandanta: Sun and Mercury, respectivaly at the end of pisces and at the begining of aries. I was reading your article about gandanta and I'm impressed of how it's relate to me. I have Mercury vargottama in Aquarius. Mercury is in the 3rd pada of shatabhishek nakshatra. My ascendant is libra. So, Mercury rules the 9th and 12th houses and its placed in the 5th house. I have Venus, Sun, Rahu and Mercury in the 5th house. Rahu and Mercury are conjunct. Saturn is placed in the 3rd house in Sagittarius. You did't talk about Mercury in this placement.

Two Vargottama -Saturn in leo & Venus in Aquarius. Both are not so good as I was told many years ago by someone, in rashi/lagna chart as Saturn in 12th with Rahu there & Venus in 6th with Ketu. I had Saturn Mahadasha in my early years of life & now in my late 30's I realized many of the mistakes I made in the past & learnt great lessons. dushtana houses (6,8,12) do create issues. and as astrologers you have to modify and weight everything. Vargottama itself is strong, but then they may not be well placed , so do not work in the optimum way.

Planet are talked those fall in exalted own sign etc , they are strong well, How they wil give effect is not talked.A planet say Sat is in vargottam in sign cancer How one will interpret ? no insight is given. Material is certianly good for writing book but video is without usefullness for audiences.Hope a sequel will appear with details how to interpret this position of a planet. regards.
