He was made 'kentucky colonel' fifty years later, which is a honorary and non-military title he got for making KFC. He also did not 'fight' in Cuba; he drove a wagon. It works fairly well for what it's trying to portray, and it's not as if the source engine is bad at making horror games feel scary that's for sure.

I absolutely don't understand why the textures aren't filtered, though. Even _Goldsrc_ uses bilinear filtering - it's like the game is going for a 'retro' style but didn't bother to commit to anything specific. I feel like it would look like a fairly convincing recreation of a Source engine game if it had bilinear filtering - although there are still a lot of elements that absolutely *scream* Unity, like basically everything UI-related.

Having given the game a proper go this morning, I gotta say that I'm quite enjoying it so far Though, of course, I do have some minor nitpicks about it One thing of note being how fast the ATV burns through fuel, which is a common complaint I've seen in the comments of the game's page Granted it can be mitigated so long as you take the foot off the peddle when going downhill [it'll automatically roll down without consuming any fuel, so it can be quite a save], and making sure to study the map in the base and planning out the route you'll take to go to all the satellites you need to, but even with those in mind, fuel's still going bye-bye fast, especially considering you have *25* satellites to manage, and while 13 of them are pretty close to the base, the other 12 are a ways off, with 8 of those being an obnoxious distance away, and you can't really opt to just walk over to any of the 13 close ones [well, aside from Alexander] because it takes more time and more time = more stamina you waste, even if you opt to use the funny debug teleport to base [speaking of, for anyone who prefers not to use that, remember to do "sv,target root" at the last satellite you have to work on to have the compass point to the base] But the real problem is the hunger and stamina meters, and how ridiculous it is that at 20% of either you just can't do the simplest actions Granted hunger isn't much of an issue, but stamina is because the only way you can reliably refill that is to sleep, and it feels like it takes an eternity just to fill it up, and I honestly never even bother filling it up to max because it's not like I _actually_ have 100%, it's just a deceptive 80% And my last complaint is that the daily hashcode tasks could maybe be a bit better explained, because even though I thought I did it correctly, the email I got regarding it still said there were some issues But aside from those nitpicks, game good so far, can't wait for further updates and the eventual full release [however far down the road that'll be], and I'm monumentally baffled by all the shmucks griping about how all the Half Life/Source sounds are "immersion breaking" Also random fun fact: The mannequins can be broken. They're surprisingly durable, but they will eventually break, so if you're really paranoid about them, just bash 'em against a wall for a while and you can rest easy

I’m an introvert, love working with my hands, and am looking forward to meeting other intelligent life out there, so long as the relationship is positive for both races. I just hope Humanity can agree on an ambassador that values cooperation, growth, and incorporation into other cultures.

@@quantumblauthor7300 US MREs are pretty good nowadays. As long as you get the genuine ones ( normally sold in bulk on Amazon near their expiration year online. ) I’m not a fan of the civilian versions, as they normally aren’t stored correctly and don’t come with water resistant matches, instant coffee, and other goodies. I especially save the FRH if I don’t use them. They are a great morale boost, at least for me. Just make sure to eat them within a year. If they go bad, they go rancid. I could never join the army though, there is way too much stress involved, and I have enough as is.

personally, i don't like it very much. i know this game's trying to be its own thing but one thing i absolutely loved about signal simulator was how atmospheric it was. the sound design in that game was really pleasant and relaxing to have in the background of everything, and it's kind of hard for me to absorb this game's atmosphere when i can recognize nearly every sound effect. that's just me, though

@@prismason Yeah I agree, after watching this for more then 1 hour the half life sound effects get really distracting, any fear I would've had is nonexistent because I can't stop thinking about wacky gmod shit :p
