Hi Dean, I’m confused as to why wouldn’t that $10k be taxed as LT Cap gains? 28% is his marginal. are variable annuities taxed as ordinary? I would’ve gotten this wrong😢

There is never a long term.gain in a variable annuity. That is one the major disadvantages.

🧐 interesting. Through process of elimination I would have chosen right. But this is good to note. Maybe I missed that in the LEM. It seemed like the 28% was thrown in there to misguide the test taker. THANK YOU Sir!!!
