Any "fight" between Superman and Batman is simply bad writing. Though it's happened many times, it's a "battle" that should never take place. Batman is out of his element, but it's gotten to the point that Batman's now the least believable characters out there. Something in the Superman vs Thor fight needs to be pointed out. After Superman knocks out Thor, it then takes 5 Avengers to knock out Superman, who then still regains consciousness Before Thor does. As fantastic as Kingdom Come's Superman vs Shazam was, there's a major flaw in the story. Shazam's strength and powers are granted at full force, whether as a boy, or as now, an adult. At the time the story takes place, Superman is said to have evolved, to be more powerful, stronger, even immune to kryptonite. Yet, when he and Shazam fight, it's a fight as usual, when Superman should now have easily stopped Shazam sooner than he did.

It fits Superman's character. Clark was trying to talk Bruce down the entire fight. If there's another way, Clark will try and find it. Otherwise, he's as strong or weak as the plot demands.

Superman and Kal-L fighting each other so brutally that they "shatter the barriers of space and time" during their three Infinite Crisis tie-in issues should be here. They switch lives, blip in and out a planet from reality, travel to each other's past and live out each other's future, and, at the end, manifest Elseworld versions of themselves. It's awesome. Never seen him depicted as that powerful before, I don't think.

That One Guy at 7/11 Sure they all have powers but who do they actually save. Hulk is always terrifying people. Scarlet Witch and Vision are too busy being in love. Thor is in Asgard. Doctor Strange is in some other demension. The mutants are hiding from people/ another side wants to rule them. The only true superhero in Marvel is Spiderman. DC have real superheroes who can save a city by themselves.
